New York - La Guardia (LGA):  Location11 km/7 Miles ENE of Manhattan.  Airport Overview: 4 Main terminals: Delta Terminal (or terminal D), US Airways Terminal (or terminal C), Central Terminal Buildinmg (CTB or terminal B) & The Marine Air Terminal (sometimes called terminal A). It is possible to walk between all terminals except the Marine Air Terminal, however free shuttle buses are provided. They run on 2 different Routes: Red Route (All terminals and parking lots): every 15 mins 0500-2330. Blue Route (All terminals and parking lotsexcept the Marine Air Terminal): every 10 mins 0600-0200.  Airline Locations: Delta Terminal: Delta Airlines (except Delta Shuttle). US Airways Terminal: US Airways, US Airways Shuttle & US Airways Express. Central Terminal Building (CTB): Air Canada, AirTran, America Trans Air ATA, American, American Eagle, CanJet. Continental, Continental Express, Frontier, JetBlue, Midwest, Spirir, United, United Express & WestJet. The CTB is divided into 4 concourses A-D. Marine Air Terminal is for Delta Shuttle, SheltAir & General Aviation.


By Taxi:
General Meters: Taxi meters are used and work as follows: Initial charge: $2.50. Then $0.40 per fifth of a mile or per minute stopped. $1 surcharge applies weekdays 1600-2000. $0.50 surcharge applies at night (2000-0600).
To Manhattan: Downtown $26-30 plus tolls/30-50 mins. Midtown Manhattan $20-24 + tolls. Uptown Manhattan $21-25 + tolls. Other destinations: Between terminals at La Guardia Airport $5-9. Shea Stadium $9-13. Main St (Kew Gardens) $15-19. Kennedy Airport $25-29. Downtown Brooklyn $23-27. Coney Island $48-52. Co-op City $26-30. Bronx (The Hub) $17-21. Riverdale $29-33. Staten Island $50-58. Newark Airport $63-67 + $15 surcharge. Note: All fares are per taxi not per person.

By Local Public Bus:
MTA Q33 Bus to Roosevelt Ave-Jackson Heights subway station: Operates from all terminals except the Marine Air Terminal, to nearby Subway station Roosevelt Ave-Jackson Heights. Route: Airport (All terminals except the Marine Air Terminal) - 23 Ave - 82 St - Roosevelt Ave -  Roosevelt Ave/Jackson Heights subway station - Roosevelt Ave - 83 St - 23 Ave - Airport. From the Subway station connect to points all over city via lines E, F, G, R & 7. Note: At the subway station, the bus staion is downstairs.
Timings: Buses run 24 hrs a day at varying intervals.
Cost: $2. Payable in cash or with a Metrocard. Transfer Time: to Roosevelt Ave-Jackson Heights subway station 30-60 mins. Contact: Tel (718) 335 1000.
MTA Q47 Bus to Roosevelt Ave-Jackson Heights subway station: Operates from the Marine Air Terminal only, to nearby Subway station Roosevelt Ave-Jackson Heights. Route: Airport (Marine Air Terminal only) - 25 Ave - 77 St - 31 Ave - 73 St - Roosevelt Ave/Jackson Heights subway station - 74 St - 31 Ave - 77 St - 25 Ave - Airport (Marine Air Terminal). From the Subway station connect to points all over city via lines E, F, G, R & 7. Note: At the subway station, the bus staion is downstairs.
Cost: $2. Payable in cash or with a Metrocard. Contact: Tel (718) 335 1000.
MTA Q48 Bus to Main St Flushing subway & LIRR station: Operates from all terminals, to nearby Subway station Main St Flushing. Route: Airport (All terminals) - 23 Ave - Ditmars Blvd - 31 Dr - 108 St - Roosevelt Ave - Main St Flushing. From the Subway station connect to points all over city via line 7. There is also a LIRR (Long Island Railroad) station at Main St Flushing. You can connect here to destinations on Long Island or Manhattan.
Timings: Buses run 7 days a week 0500-0130 at varying intervals.

MTA M60 Bus to Astoria Blvd & 111 st subway stations: to 125th St Manhattan and subway lines. $2 in quarters or buy a MetroCard. Takes 45-60 mins to Manhattan. Runs every 30 mins 0500-0100.
Operates from all terminals, to Subway station 111 St in Manhattan. Route: Airport (All terminals) - Astoria Blvd - Astoria Blvd Subway Station - Triboro Bridge - 125 st subway station - 111 St Subway Station (Manhattan). From either Subway station connect to points all over Manhattan.
Timings: Buses run 7 days a week 0500-0130 at varying intervals.
Cost: $2. Payable in cash or with a Metrocard. Contact: Tel (718) 335 1000.
MTA Q23 Bus to Roosevelt Ave-Jackson Heights subway station: Operates from the US Airways Terminal and the Central Terminal Building (CTB) only, to nearby Subway station Roosevelt Ave-Jackson Heights. From the Subway station connect to points all over city via lines E, F, G, R & 7. Note: At the subway station, the bus staion is downstairs. Notes: There is some confusion as to whether this bus still runs.
Cost: $2. Payable in cash or with a Metrocard. Contact: Tel (718) 335 1000.

By Private Bus:
New York Airport Express Bus Service/Manhattan Express to Manhattan: Route: Airport (outside each terminal) - Runs to Grand Central Terminal (42nd St/Park Ave) - Bryant Park (42nd St/between 5th & 6th Ave) - Port Authority Bus Terminal (8th Ave/West 42nd St).
Timings: Runs every 30 mins 0700-2300 from the express bus stops outside the terminals. Transfer Times: To Manhattan 45 mins+. Cost: $12 one way/$21 round trip.
They also operate a regular Express bus to JFK airport ($13 one way/0730-2000) & Newark Airport ($22/0700-2300). Contact: Tel (212) 812 2700.

By Shuttle Van:
Super Shuttle Routes: Runs to Manhattan (anywhere from Battery Park to 227th St), Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island & Bronx. No services to Co-op City or City Island. Fares per person: To Manhattan hotels $15, To Manhattan residences $15 and $9 for each additional person, To Brooklyn, Queens, Bronx and Staten Island $25-60 1st person, $15-30 for each additional person. To the Cruise Ship Passenger Terminal ~$20-32 + tolls. Contact: Tel 212 BLUE VAN or reserve on line. There are free courtesy phones in each terminal at the Ground Transportation info desks.
ETS Air Shuttle Routes: Runs to JFK & Newark Airports and to Brooklyn, Queens, Staten Island & Bronx. Cost: To Queens $20-30, To Brooklyn $20-22, To Bronx $30 and Staten Is $40. Contact: Tel (718) 221 5341. There are free courtesy phones in each terminal at the Ground Transportation info desks.
Classic Airport Shuttle Routes: Runs to Valley Stream ($27), Riverhead ($79) and other destinations on Long Island. Contact: Tel (631) 567 5100. There are free courtesy phones in each terminal at the Ground Transportation info desks.
Prime Time Connecticut Airport Shuttle Runs  a shared van service to Connecticut. Cost to Hotels: Bridgeport $59 first person ($39 extra passengers), Greenwich $52 ($39), New Haven $60 ($39), New Rochelle $44 ($39), Westport $58 ($39) & White Plains $50 ($39). Cost to Homes or Offices: Bridgeport $62 first person ($39 extra passengers), Greenwich $58 ($39), New Haven $66 ($39), New Fairfield $92 ($39) & Westport $62 ($39). Children 14 and under $15. Westchester Express Routes: Runs to Westchester, Putnam & Rockland Counties. Cost: To locations in Westchester county: Ardsley $42 first person, Bronxville $39, Chappaqua $53, Elmsford $42, Mount Vernon or New Rochelle $39, Peekskill & Yorktown $63, White Plains $42, Yonkers £40 and more. Airlink New York Routes: Runs a direct door-to-door service to homes and hotels in Manhattan (anywhere from Battery Park to 125th St). Cost: To Manhattan $15 one-way, from Manhatan $17, $29 round trip. Contact: Tel 1 877 599 8200 or (212) 812 9000. All County Express Air Shuttle: Routes: Runs door-to-door shuttles to Westchester County from 0500-2300. Contact: There are free courtesy phones in each terminal at the Ground Transportation info desks or tel 1 800 914 4223.

By Train:
There is no train station at or close to the airport, however several local buses run from the terminals to nearby Subway (underground train) stations:
To Roosevelt Ave-Jackson Heights/82nd St subway station (N & W Lines): The Q33 Bus runs to all terminals at LGA except the Marine Air Terminal. It runs 24 hrs a day. The Q47 bus runs to the Marine Air Terminal Only.
To Astoria Blvd subway station (Line 7): MTA bus M60 runs to all terminals at LGA 0500-0100 7 days a week. This subway station is convenient for trips to Manhattan. Total transfer time (including bus transfer) to 59th St Manhattan is ~50 mins.
To Flushing Main St subway station (Line 7): The Q48 Bus runs to all terminals at LGA 0500-0130 7 days a week.
Using the subway: Tickets are bought from the MetroCard machines in the station. A single journey anywhere in the system costs $2. A card with 6 journeys on costs $10. Cards are available for all-day travel or seasonal cards. Cards are then swiped through then entry turnstiles.

Airport to Airport:
To JFK: Taxi to JFK airport $25-29/25-60 mins depending on traffic.
ETS Air Shuttle run buses to JFK. Runs 0700-2230. $12/20-50 mins. Contact: Tel (718) 221 5341. There are free courtesy phones in each terminal at the Ground Transportation info desks.
New York Airport Express Bus Service/Manhattan Express runs to JFK ~every 30 mins 0730-2000. $13 one-way/up to 45 mins. There are free courtesy phones in each terminal at the Ground Transportation info desks. Buses operate from the express bus stops outside the terminals.
To Newark Intl: By Taxi: $63-67 + $15 surcharge.
ETS Air Shuttle. Runs 0700-2230. $30/60-90 mins. Contact: Tel (718) 221 5341. There are free courtesy phones in each terminal at the Ground Transportation info desks.
New York Airport Service/Manhattan Express runs buses for $22 one way (change buses at Port Authority Bus Terminal). Buses run 0700-2300. Buses operate from the express bus stops outside the terminals.

Rental Cars:
Off-Airport Rental Car Providers: AVIS (718) 507 3600, Budget 639 6400, Dollar 779 5600, HERTZ 478 5300 & National 803 4101. There are no desks at the airport terminals, but each company has a courtesy phone in each terminal. Shuttle vans then run to the various companies.

Car Parking: Car Parking lots are opposite the terminals and are connected by free shuttle buses. Daily Parking (Lots 1, 4, 5, 6 & 7): $3 for the 1st 30 mins, 1 hr $6, 2 hrs $9, 3 hrs $12, 4 hrs $15, 5 hrs $18, 6 hrs $21, 7 hrs $24, 8 hrs $27, 8-24 hrs $30. $3 per hour extra over 24 hrs. Long Term (Lot 3): Up to 24 hrs $30, 24-48 hrs $60, then $5 for each 8 hour period or part of.  Notes: The closest public transport to the New York Cruise Passenger Ship Terminal is the A, C or E train at the 50th St. station (at 8th Ave). Information and hotel booking boards with courtesy phones are in each terminal. For Help on transport to and from all NYC airports call 1-800 AIR RIDE.  Airport Hotels: Holiday Inn La Guardia Airport (718) 651 2100. Courtyard Marriott La Guardia is across from the terminals.
