Beijing 北京 - Capital 首都 (PEK):
Location: 28 km/17 Miles NE of the City centre.

There is a passage linking the two terminals together; this is accessible at the public level
Airport Overview:
General: 3 Terminals as follows:
Terminal 1: For domestic flights operated by Hainan Airlines, Grand China Air, Deer Air & Tianjin Airlines.
Terminal 2: For China Southern Airlines, China Eastern Airlines, Skyteam and other domestic and international flights.
Terminal 3: Is a huge terminal for Air China, Oneworld Airlines, Star Alliance, and other domestic and international flights.
Connecting between Terminals:  There is a passageway linking terminals 1 & 2 together. The airport runs a free inter-terminal shuttle bus between T3 and Terminals 1 and 2 from 0600-2200. The buses run every 10 mins 0800-2000, and every 20 mins during other times.

By Taxi: Metered taxis are available at the airport, and insist that the meter is used as over-charging is common. ~CNY 135/30-40 mins to the centre. Other destinations are charged at ~CNY 2 per km. Airport taxis are often much more expensive than regular taxis in Beijing. It can be worthwile getting the bus to any part of the city and then taking a regular taxi to your final destination, to avoid being overcharged. Taxi touts wait in the terminal, just after customs, and their sole purpose is to rip you off. There are 2 official taxi lines just outside arrivals. Taxi drivers do not expect to be tipped.
