Location: 10 km/6 Miles SW of the City centre, along the Zwirki Wigury Avenue near Okecie/Okęcie.
Airport Overview: There are 3 terminals. Terminals 1 and 2 are for most full service airline flights. They are now joined together and are effectively one large terminal. You will frequently hear refernces to Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Terminal 2 is the new, modern part of the main terminal, while Terminal 1 is the original, old part. 500m away is the Etiuda Terminal for the low-cost carriers. It takes 5 mins to walk between any pair of terminals.

| By Train from the airport: | There is a new train service between Warsaw Frederic Chopin airport to Warszawa Srodmiescie Station. It runs every half hour and takes about 20 minutes. Train R-2. Within Zone 1. Train station at airport is only few minutes walk from Terminal 2 and Srodmiescie station is underneath of Warsaw Central Station. The service is operated by two companies: Szybka Kolej Miejska – SKM (Fast Urban Railway) and Koleje Mazowieckie (Masovian Railways). |

| General: | Buses 148, 175 & 188 depart from outside T1 (cross 2 or 3 lanes of traffic to find the bus stop) and from outside the Etiuda Terminal. They also call at Intl departures to drop off departing passengers. Bus #175 is an ideal bus for visitors to the city, being cheap, easy to use and serving most city centre areas. It is easiest to buy the PLN 2.80 tickets from the newsagents in the airport terminal (one upstairs in departures). These tickets are valid for 40 mins. |

| Local Buses #175 to the city centre, train station and old town: | Route: The bus runs from the airport past the main train station to the city centre and on to the old city. The desks are rather spread out in T1 arrivals and not all togther as is usually the case in airports. A brief hunt is required to find all the desks. |

Baggage Storage: Left luggage facilities available in T1 arrivals (old part of terminal). Rather complex cost structure: 2% of the declared value of the baggae, with a minimum declared value of PLN 400 per bag. Basically PLN 8, then the daily charges: Up to 10 days PLN 5 per bag per day. 2nd piece of baggage PLN 3 per day. Over 10 days PLN 5 per bag per day. Lost receipt PLN 30. Office is open 24hrs a day. Credit cards are accepted.
Notes: ATM/Cash machines in the main terminal. There is a small Post Office in T1 departures (upstairs). There is an information desk in arrivals, but curiously, they have no information on ground transport!! This airport was formerly known as Okęcie Airport.
