| Taxi Meters: | Taxis from Madeira Airport always operate with a meter. The starting fare on the meter should read €4 during the week. Transport of luggage or animals is charged at €1.50 extra. Before taking a taxi, enquire about the fare. All taxi services charge an extra 20% on weeknights 2200-0700, and throughout the day on Saturdays, Sundays and Bank Holidays. |

| Aerobus to Funchal Town: | Route: Buses run to Praia Formosa in Funchal. The bus stop is just outside the airport terminal entrance, slightly to the right as you leave. The shuttle bus takes you into the centre of Funchal town and takes ~45 mins. The driver will happily drop you off on the way if you ask him, so show him a map of where you want to go, but he won't deviate from his route. The Aerobus does run to the Hotels area of town. Route Details: Airport - Boa Nova - Campo de Barca - Rua do Anadia - Avenida do Mar - Av Infante - Estrada Monumental - Praia Formosa.
