By Road: 75 km/49 Miles/40-60 mins from the city centre. From Kuala Lumpur, take either the North-South Expressway Central Link (ELITE), which is a toll road, or the KL-Seremban Highway. Turn off at the Nilai North Interchange onto the North-South Expressway toll road or at the Nilai Interchange onto the Salak Tinggi Link.
Airport Overview: KLIA has 2 terminals: One main terminal where most flights operate and a smaller Low Cost Carrier Terminal (LCC-T) for Air Asia flights. These terminals are a considerable distance apart, and a taxi or shuttle bus is needed to connect.
Terminal Overview: The Main Terminal is on 5 levels: Level 5 is the departure hall & viewing area. Level 4 is for airline offices. Level 3 is the arrivals hall and taxi stands. Level 2 is for car parks A & B and the public bus station. Level 1 is for the charter and tour coach station.
Transfer between terminals: A courtesy Aerotrain operates between the main terminal building and Satellite A (journey time 2 mins) every 3-5 mins. To the Low Cost carrier Terminal: There is a shuttle bus that runs between the LCCT and the KLIA main terminal (public bus terminal). It costs MYR 1.50 one way, and runs every 30 mins.

| Public Bus Station: | The Public Bus Station is in the annexe, on the ground level of the car park, which can be reached via the moving walkway from the mezzanine level (Level 2) of the main terminal. Cross over and go down one level. There are ticket desks for the various companies inside. Buses pull up outside. Express and local buses run to Klang, Nilai, Kuala Lumpur, USJ (a district within the Petaling Jaya municipality) and Subang. |

| KLIA Ekspres Train to KL Central Station: | The Airport is accessible by Express Rapid Transit train to/from KL Sentral train station. The Airport station is on level 1 of the terminal and well signed. Timings: Trains run every 15 mins 0500-0100. Transfer Time: It only takes ~28 mins. Cost: MYR 55 for a one way trip, children (2-12) MYR 25. Return fares: Adult MYR 100, child MYR 45. Note: This train runs non stop to the city. For intermediate stops, see the Transit train below. | KLIA Transit Train: | A service to supplement the KLIA Express fast train service is the KLIA Transit stopping train. Route: Airport - Salak Tinggi - Putrajaya - Cyberjaya - Bandar Tasik Selatan - KL Sentral Station. Timings: Runs every 30 mins 0505-0103 from the airport. Transfer Time: To Putra Jaya 17 mins. To KL Sentral ~35 mins. Cost: To the city centre is MYR 35/children MYR 15 (same as the Express). To Putrajaya MYR 9.50 one way, 15 return |
| KTM Commuter Trains: | KTM Komuter trains run every 15-30min from KL Central & Kualar Lumpur (old main station) stations to Nilai station, where there is a connecting bus from the station itself to the aiport bus station (ground floor car park). The bus costs MYR 2.50 and the train to/from the city to Nilai is MYR 4.50. It runs 0715-2230 from KLIA Airport. This is the cheapest way from KLIA to the city. Important note: InterCity & Express trains do NOT stop at Nilai, which is for suburban trains only. |
| Onward Transfer from KL Sentral: | Once arriving at KL Sentral station there are a number of ways of getting to your final destination. Commuter & Metro trains run all over the city. Several taxi companies have desks upstairs in the station concourse, such as Budget Taxi, Executive Taxi & Premier Taxi. Budget taxis are small and if there are more than 3 or you, or if you have lots of luggage, you may need a premium taxi which costs a little more. Budget Taxis run into the city at the following rates: 2 km MYR 7, 4 km MYR 10, 6 km MYR 12, 8 km MYR 14, 10 km MYR 15 etc. There is a MYR 2 surcharge for taxis from this station. VIP Service is a combined transfer system that includes train transfer on the KLIA followed by a limousine to your destination. Not available from the LCCT. Cost: 1st passenger: Zone 1 MYR 135, Zone 2 MYR 185. Extra passengers just pay an extra train fare. | On-Airport Rental Car Providers: | AVIS, HERTZ, Kasina, Mayflower, Orix, Pantas, Prac & other local companies operate 24-hour desks in the arrivals concourse, on level 3 in the main terminal. The desks for the different companies are not all together, so a short walk may be required to find your desk. |
Car Parking: There are 2 large car parks (A & B) opposite the terminal, connected by a walk way on level 2. Cost: 1 hour MYR 3.50, 2 hrs MYR 6.50, 3 hrs MYR 9, 4 hrs MYR 11, then MYR 2 for each extra hour up to a max of MYR 43 for the first day. Then generally MYR 43 per day.
Airport to Airport: Taxi to Subang Airport 65 mins. Distance 65 km.
Money Services: Several ATMs/Cash machines are in arrivals, near the exit from the customs hall. Bureau de Change in arrivals.
Baggage Storage: Left luggage facilities are reported to be available.
Notes: Most domestic and Intl flights now depart from this terminal at KLIA, but Low Cost Carriers such as AirAsia depart from the LCCT (Low Cost Carrier Terminal) - se below. Domestic flights operated by Berjaya Air and Firefly flights, still depart from Subang Airport (see below). Several major hotels have desks in the arrivals area.
Airport Hotels: Pan Pacific Hotel is attached to the car park above the public bus terminal. There is also an Airside Transit Hotel, Tel +60 (0)3 8787 4848. The Empress Hotel is 10 mins from the airport by the hourly free shuttle bus. It departs from level 1, where they have a desk. Tel 8706 7777. Concorde Inn KLIA is close to the airport by the free shuttle bus which runs every 30 mins 0540-0010. It departs from level 1, where they have a desk. Tel 8783 3118.

Kuala Lumpur Intl - KLIA - LCCT - Low Cost Carrier Terminal (KUL):
Location: 46 km/29 Miles S of KL City center.

Terminal Overview: The LCCT is an extremely well designed and well appointed terminal, with restaurants and duty free shops. There is, however, no bar. The LCCT and Main terminals are a considerable distance apart, and a taxi or shuttle bus is needed to connect. The LCCT is divided into Intl and domestic sides, but they are close together and easily walked.
Transfer between terminals: There is a shuttle bus that runs between the LCC-T and the KLIA main terminal. It costs MYR 1.50 one way, and runs every 30 mins. It departs from outside domestic arrivals at the LCCT.

| Bus Stop Location: | Buses stop outside the domestic terminal. Exit and turn left. No schedules are posted at the bus stop, but staff from the companies are on hand to help. Bus and Van transfer companies have desks in the domestic baggage hall. Re-entry is possible if needed to make a reservation. Similar desks are in the Intl baggage hall, but these cannot be accessed after clearing customs. |

Rental Cars: None at this terminal. Several companies operate 24-hour desks in the arrivals concourse, on level 3 in the main terminal only.
Car Parking: There is a large car park outside the terminal. Cost: 1 hour MYR 2, 2 hrs MYR 4.50, 3 hrs MYR 7, 4 hrs MYR 9.50, then MYR 2.50 for each extra hour up to a max of MYR 36.50 for the first day. Then generally MYR 36.50 per day. There is a free shuttle bus to some parking lots.
Airport to Airport: Taxi to Subang Airport 65-75 mins. Distance 68 km.
Money Services: A bank, Bureau de Change and several ATMs/Cash machines are in the corridor between domestic departures and domestic arrivals. ATMs/Cash machines are in Intl arrivals.
Baggage Storage: Left luggage facilities are available in domestic arrivals. Cost: Small items MYR 10 per day, medium MYR 20, large MYR 30 & extra large MYR 40. Contact: Tel 03 8777 6787.
Notes: This terminal is for Low Cost Carriers (ie Air Asia). Most domestic and Intl flights of other airlines now depart from the Main Terminal of this airport (see above). Domestic flights operated by Berjaya Air and Firefly flights, still depart from the old Subang Airport (see below). Free wifi internet provided airside.

Kuala Lumpur - Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah/Subang (SZB):
Location: 20 km/12 Miles W of KL city centre.
Airport Overview: Terminal 1 has been demolished, Terminal 2 is used by airport management and Berjaya Air & Firefly use Terminal 3. Terminal 3 is currently undergoing extensive renovation and will become the Skypark Terminal.
By Bus: No buses stop at Terminal 3 itself. However, there is a public bus stop 200m away. Exit Terminal 3 and turn left. No details of bus services.
Car Parking: There is a car park across the main road from Terminal 3. Cost: First Hour: MYR 2, each extra hour MYR 1.
Airport to Airport: Taxi to KLIA Main Terminal 60 km/~65 mins. To KLIA LCCT Terminal 68 km/~70 mins. Pre-paid taxi voucher available from desk in Terminal 3: MYR 70.
Money Services: ATM/cash machine and bank in Terminal 3.
Notes: This is the former International airport now used for Berjaya Air (flights to Koh Samui, Pangkor, Redang & Tioman), Firefly (flights to Alor Setar, Batam, Johor Bahru, Koh Samui, Kota Bharu, Kerteh, Kuala Terengganu, Kuantan, Langkawi, Medan, Padang, Pekanbaru, Penang, Phuket & Singapore) and charter flights only. All other flights to KL operate from the new KLIA (see above)
