To and From the Airport

Cork (ORK):

Location: 8 km/5 Miles S of Cork City, 16 km/10 Miles N of Kinsale & 32 km/20 Miles E of Macroom.

Driving Directions: The Airport is on the south end of the N27 when coming from the N, W, or E, and off the R600 when coming from Kinsale.
By Taxi: There is a taxi rank outide the terminal. The cost is €12-15 from the airport to the City Centre or Central Railway station/10-15 mins. ABC Taxis 961 961, Coughlan Taxis 556 556 & Blue Taxi 39 39 39.

Rental Cars:

Off-Airport Rental Car Providers: DanDooley runs a shuttle to its location from outside the terminal.
Car Parking:
Short Term: 15 mins free, 1 hr €2.20, 2 hrs €4.40, 3 hrs €6.60, 4hrs €8.80, 7 hrs €10, 12 hrs €12 & 24 hrs €15. Each extra day €15. This car park is right opposite the terminal and reached by a covered walkway.
Long Term: 1 day €8, 1 week €40.
By Bus:
A Bus Éireann Aircoach Service service runs between the airport and the city centre bus station in Parnell Place. Some buses call at Cork Airport Business Park and stop on request between the city and the airport. Connections can be made at the bus station to the rest of Ireland. Cost: €3.90 single/€6.50 return. Travel Time: 20-30 mins. Contact: +353 21 450 8188.

Skylink Bus: There is also another bus service now, yellow mini-buses run by Skylink which run on the hour and half-hour into Cork and it costs €5 single, €8 return. These buses will also take you to your hotel in town, within reason, apparently! Tickets can be booked online for these and the Eireann coaches.

Notes: ATMs/Cash Machines in arrivals dispensing Euros or Pounds sterling. There is a tourist information desk in arrivals which has details of buses and hotels. There is a post box for mail in the terminal.

Kerry - Farranfore (KIR):

Location: 15km/ 9 Miles SE of Tralee, 16 km/10 miles N of Killarney 1 km/1 Mile NE of Farranfore.
Airport Overview: A very small terminal building with a car park and bus stop outside.
On foot: A short walk to Farranfore village.

By Taxi:
General: There is a notice on the wall outside the terminal (opposite the bus stop) showing the fares.
Meter Rates: €4.45 for the first kilometer or 170 seconds waiting, then Tariff A (valid for the next 14 km or 40 mins waiting): €1.35 per km or €0.48 per minute. Max charge €23.45. Tariff B (valid for the next 15 km or 42 mins waiting): €1.57 per km or €0.55 per minute. Max charge €47.05. Tariff C (valid for 30-85 km or 42 mins waiting): €1.77 per km or €0.63 per minute. Extra adults are €1 extra. A premium rate applies at night (2000-0800), Sundays and public holidays.

Bus Eireann Route 14 to Killarney: Route: Killarney - Farranfore Village - Kerry Airport - Castleisland. The Bus Eireann bus stop in Killarney is 300m from the railway station, at one end of the Outlet shopping Mall.
Timings: Buses leave the airport heading for Killarney daily at 1210, 1410, 1610, 1810, 2010 & 2210. Buses leave the airport heading for Castleisland daily at 0920, 1020, then every 2 hours until 1820. Buses leave Killarney daily at 0900, 1000, then every 2 hrs until 1800. Buses leave Castleisland daily at 1205, then every 2 hrs until 2205.
Travel Times: To Killarney 20 mins, Castleisland 5-10 mins & Farranfore 5 mins. Cost: To Killarney €4.50 adult one way.

Bus Eireann Route 285 to Tralee: Route: Kerry Airport - Tralee. Timings: Buses leave the airport heading for Tralee Mon-Sat at 1525. Buses leave Tralee Mon-Sat at 0850 & 1245. Cost: To Tralee €5 adult one way.
Bus Eireann buses to Limerick & Dublin: Route: Kerry Airport - Abbeyfeale/Adare - Limerick - Dublin. Change buses in Limerick for Galway and Cork. Timings: Buses leave the airport daily at 0920, 1020, 1220, 1420, 1620 & 1820. Cost: To Limerick €17.50 adult one way.

By Train: There is a train station in nearby Farranfore Village (5-10 minute walk). Route: Tralee - Farranfore - Killarney - Rathmore - Millstreet - Banteer - Mallow (change here for Cork) - Charleville - Limerick Junction - stations to Dublin. Car Parking: Both long and short term car parks are outside the terminal within easy walking distance. Short Term: 30 mins free, 2 hrs €2.50, 5 hrs€5, 12 hrs €8 & 24 hrs €10. Each extra 24 hrs €10. Long Term: 1 hour free, 2 hrs €1.50, 12 hrs €5, 24 hrs €6, daily charge (days 1-5) €6, daily charge (days 9-15) €5, further days €4.50 per day.
