By Taxi: Taxi is the only usual option. The following prices are approximate fares to and from the airport, the actual fare will be from the meter: Chania town €13, Stalos €17, Platanias €19, Maleme €24, Paliohora €28, Kolimbari €28, Kasteli €34, Sfakia €53, Georgioupolis €33, Rethymno town €44, Heraklion/Iraklion town €85, Agios Nikolaos €125. These fares are subject to a €2 airport surcharge.

Heraklion/Iraklion/Ηράκλειο - Nikos Kazantzakis (HER):
Location: 2 Miles/4 km E of the city.

By Taxi: Taxi to the City €8-9/15 mins. Agree fare beforehand.
By Bus: Bus#1 leaves for Platia Eleftherias (next to Archaeological Museum) every 15-20 mins 0600-2300 from the car park in front of the terminal. Buy your €0.65 ticket at the booth before boarding. Takes ~20 mins.
