Rottnest Island (RTS):
Location:
On Rottnest Island, off the cost of Fremantle. The airport is 800m/½ mile from
Thomson Bay, the main settlement area on Rottnest.
By Bus: Rotnest Island Airport is served by a free shuttle bus, called the
Transfer Bus, that passes the airport every 30 mins daily during normal
business hours, including weekends. It departs from the main bus stop in Thomson
Bay and runs to Geordie, Fay's Bay & Longreach Bay, before returning to the main
bus stop and onwards to the Airport & Kingstown Barracks. It calls at the main
accommodation areas on the Island along the way. Note, The Transfer Bus does not
call at the Basin, which is a 15 minute walk each way from Thomson Bay.
By Bicycle: The Airport is 600m/ less than half a mile from the bike hire shop on the island.
