12 km/7 miles W of Siliguri & 77 km/48 Miles SSW of Gangtok in Sikkim.
By Road: 90 km/56 Miles/4 hrs to Gangtok in
Sikkim, 16 km/10 Miles to Siliguri & 124 km/78 Miles to Darjeeling.
By Taxi:
Private Taxi to Darjeeling ~INR 700-850. Shared taxi to
Darjeeling ~INR 150 per person. Taxi to Siliguri INR 225 (pre-paid rate), or
Bagdogra ~INR 35.
By Bus: To Darjeeling

km/11 miles NE of the City Centre.By Taxi: To the city centre:
Pre-paid taxis from the booth inside the terminals ~INR 135-200/40-120 mins
depending on traffic. Regular taxis ~INR 200.

By Train:
The underground railway network connects Dum Dum
(note Dum Dum terminus is 5 km from the airport) to Tollygunge in Central
Calcutta via Belgachia, Shyambazar, Sovabazar, Girish Park, M.G. Road, Central, Chandni Chowk, Esplanade, Park Street, Maidan, Rabindra
Sadan, Netaji Bhavan (Bhowanipore), J.D. Park, Kalighat and Ravindra Sarovar. Minimum fare
INR 2 (up to 6 stations) Max fare INR 5.
Runs 0715-2140. Taking the metro to Dum Dum still requires a taxi to cover the
last 5 km.

operate at the airport.
