Luganville - Santo-Pekoa (SON):
Location:
5 km/3 Miles E of Luganville on Espiritu Santo Island.
By Taxi: To
Luganville VUV 600-800.
By Bus: Buses run into Luganville for ~VUV 250.

Port Vila - Bauerfield Intl (VLI):
Location: 4 Miles/6 km N of Port Vila
on Efate Island.
By Taxi:
Taxis cost anywhere from VUV 1500 to VUV
3800 for the trip into town, depending on the destination.
Takes 10-15 mins. Note: Only airport accredited taxis operate from
Bauerfield Airport, and taxis are small cars or minivans and really only take 2-3 comfortably.
Airport Transfers must be pre booked directly with the company or through an agent or hotel you are staying at. You cannot pick up an airport transfer bus when you get off the plane if you have not booked it in advance. Airport transfers usually have a meet and greet package: welcome necklace, tour info, small water. Costs are normally between

By Bus: There
are no shuttle buses to hotels at all direct from the airport. Local buses can
be picked up outside the airport zone but there are no bus stops or shelter. You
wait on the edge of the road and the cost will be between VUV 200 - 500 to town
as you have bags. Takes 20-30 mins.

all have rental car drop-off desks near the Intl check-in counters, but these are un-staffed unless prior
arrangements have been made. The head office of
AVIS
is right next to the Intl terminal and are open during normal business hours. |
Dep Tax:
A departure tax of VUV 2800 in local currency is payable on intl flights, though it is usually included in the
price of your ticket. Children aged 11 and under are exempt from the airport tax, as are transit passengers who continue on a connecting
flight within 24 hrs (roundtrips to/from a single city excluded). On domestic flights the tax is
VUV 250 to VUV 400 but you pay it when you buy
your ticket.
Notes: The National Bank has a window near the check-in counters, which opens for all
Intl flights. They change travelers checks without commission at a good rate. An
ANZ Bank ATM is also available at the airport.
There is a duty-free shop in the departure lounge selling alcohol, cigarettes, perfume, and not much more.

Location:
On the west side of the island near Imanaka. 9 km/6 Miles NNW of Lenakel.
By Taxi:
To Lenakel ~VUV 1000.
By Bus: Buses meet flights and run to Lenakel.
