Koh Samui (USM): Location: The airport is in the NE part of the island between Bophut Beach and Chaweng Beach. By Taxi: There are many private taxi services (pickups) waiting for arriving passengers. Ask for the price before entering any taxi - and haggle. By Bus: Travellers arriving at the Airport should use the pick-up service of their hotel (if provided). According to some reports: Avoid using the airport limousine service!! The drivers sometimes tell you that your booked hotel is closed/flooded/non-existent or too expensive and try to take you to a hotel where they get commission, or just drop you off somewhere if you do not agree to their demands.
