Chennai/Madras (MAA):
Location: 17 km/10 Miles SW of the City.
By Taxi: To the city by taxi ~INR 350/25-30 mins. By Autorickshaw ~INR 180. To Mamallapurum/Mahabalipurum ~INR 600. A Pre-paid kiosk is inside the terminal. Adyar Cabs Tel 4913737/4419090.
By Bus: A coach meets all flight arrivals 0900-2300. Bus 18A runs every 25 mins 0500-2200.
By Train: The Local train station (Tirusulam) is ½ mile E of the Terminal. Train to Fort George Station & Egmore ~INR 6-80/30 mins. Train runs every 20-30 mins 0415-2345.
Airport Tax: INR 750 for Intl Deps, but usually included in the ticket price. INR 150 for Sri Lanka Deps.

Coimbatore (CJB):
Location: 12 km/7 miles ENE of Town.
Airport Overview: A very pleasant, small airport terminal building divided into departuire and arrival sides.
By Taxi: A Pre-paid taxi counter is available in the baggage hall. Costs are as follows: To Coimbatore city centre ~INR 200. To Mettupalayam INR 700 (800 with AC), Pollachi or Tirupur INR 700 (900), Palakkad INR 800 (1000), Udumalpet INR 950 (1100), Erode INR 1050 (1300), Palani INR 1350 (1600), Karur INR 1450 (1700), Salem INR 1650 (2000), Ooty INR 1300 (1550).
By Autorickshaw: To the city centre ~INR 130. ABI Taxi Tel 2 47 47 47.
By Bus: Reported to be availably by some sources, but none seen on my visit in July 2006.
Car Parking: Parking is available in front of the terminal. For a 4 hour period: Car or Van INR 60, 2 or 3 wheelers INR 15.
Notes: ATM/Cash machine is available 24 hrs on the left as you exit arrivals. There is a post office in the departure hall. There is no hotel booking desk at this airport, but there is a small Kerala Tourism desk in arrivals, but it was closed on my visit. Wifi internet connection available at the airport.

Madurai (IXM):
Location: 12 km/7 miles S of Town, but by road 18 km/11 Miles.
By Taxi: By Taxi to the city ~INR 300, by Autorickshaw ~INR 150-200.
By Bus: Bus 10A runs from the Local bus stand in the city to the airport.
Car Parking: INR 10 per hour.

Tiruchirappalli/Trichy (TRZ):
Location: 8 km/5 Miles S of the city.
By Taxi: To the city by taxi ~INR 180. Autorickshaw ~INR 80.
By Bus: Various buses run into town in ~30 mins. The National Highway bus stop is 300 m from Terminal Building.
Rental Cars: Reported to be available.
Car Parking: INR 10 per hour.
