Paramaribo - J.A. Pengel Intl/Zanderij (PBM):
Location: 46 km/29 miles S of the city.
By Taxi:
US$35/SRG 125/50-60 mins to the city. Taxis don't have meters, so agree a fare before departure. Avoid unofficial taxis and hailing taxis from the street. It is best to phone a reputable taxi company to arrange for pickup.


By Bus:
General: Le Grand Baldew offers an Airport bus Service right from your home or hotel to the J.A. Pengel Intl Airport. They can also take you from the airport to anywhere in Paramaribo. At the airport there is a booth after customs in the arrival hall, where a guide will assist you during the transfer. Takes 45 mins. One way fare ~US$8. Day return US$10. 24 Hour Advance Reservation needed. Last minute cancellations and No Show 50%. Address Tourtonnelaan 59, Paramaribo - Suriname. Tel (597) 474713. Timings: Buses leave the city heading for the airport: Monday: 0200, 0700, 1400 & 1530. Tuesday: 0530 & 1530. Wednesday: 1030. Thursday: 0200, 1530, 1700 & 2100. Friday: 0530. Saturday: 0200 & 0430. Sunday: 1530.


Rental Cars: AVIS, Budget & EUROPCAR have desks at the airport.

Notes:
This Airport is used only for Intl flights. The airport at Zorg en Hoop in Paramaribo city is the main airport for all domestic flights.

Location:
3 km/2 Miles WSW of the city center.
