Location: 10 km/6 Miles WNW of Philipsburg on
the Dutch
(South) Side
of the island. The airport is at Maho Beach, close to the resort hotels there.
Airport Overview: A stunning new
terminal building with parking opposite. On Foot:
It is possible to walk to nearby Maho Beach hotels such as the Sonesta or
Caravanserai in about 10 mins. By Taxi: To Marigot or
Philipsburg US$12-15, to Grand Case US$16-18, to Orient Bay ~US$20. To Maho
Beach hotels $8. An additional 25% is added to the base fare
from 2200 until midnight, 50% extra from midnight to 0700. There are no meters, so
ask about the fare in advance. Taxis can be found outside arrivals, where there
is a taxi desk. You may be required to share a taxi.

Car Parking:
Car parks are opposite the terminal. At the moment (January 2007) parking is
free, but charges will be introduced soon. These are likely to be: US$1 per 30 mins.

Airport
Departure tax is included for most passengers. Passengers flying with American
Airlines, American Eagle, Winair, Air France, Delta, Corsair, St Barth Commuter,
Continental, KLM, Liat, US Airways, Windward Express, Caribbean Star, Caribbean
Sun & United need not pay any further taxes. All other passengers should go to
the booth (in the corridor between the check-in area and the entrance to the
departure hall) to pay the fee. Passengers arriving by sea are NOT considered to be transfer
passengers. Passengers under 2 are not required to pay any taxes. |

ANG 54, US$ 30 or €30. Domestic (ie Curacao, Bonaire, Saba & St
Eustatius) either ANG 18, US$10 or €10. Passengers who arrive by air and
continue their journey the same day on a different flight are deemed to
be transfer passengers and pay only ANG 9 or US$/€5. |
Airport Hotels: None at the terminal
itself, but several very close in Maho. The closest hotel to the terminal is the
Royal Turtle Inn, Tel +599 545 2563. Almost as close are the Royal
Islander Club, Sonesta and the

Martin - Grand Case/Esperance (SFG):
Location: Located on
the French (North) Side of the island at Grand Case, 10 km/7
Miles N of Philipsburg. 1 km/less than 1 mile E of Grand Case. 8 km/5 Miles NE
of Marigot. Airport Overview:
A very small, basic terminal with very limited facilities. By Taxi: Taxis meet all arriving flights. US$10 to Marigot or Orient Beach.
If no taxis are available, the staff at the information office in the terminal

By Bus:
No buses call at the airport, but buses run to Marigot from nearby Grand Case
town.

Parking: Available outside the terminal building. Sometimes the car parking is
free, at other times, a fee is payable. A sign indicates the system in force at
any given time. 30 mins €1, 90 mins €1.50, 4 hrs €2.60, 6 hrs €3.20, 10 hrs
€4, 16 hrs €5.90, 24 hrs €6.70. Each extra day €2.20. Lost ticket €25.
