Belgrade/Beograd - Nikola Tesla/Surčin (BEG):
Location:
14 km/9 Miles W of the City,
near Surčin.
Airport Overview:
One terminal building which is divided into 2 terminals. Terminal 1 is on the upper level and seems to be totally deserted at the moment. It is connected to the larger Terminal 2, which is where all airline arrivals and departures are. Terminal 2 is on 3 levels: The lowest level is for arrivals, the middle level is for check-in and airline offices, and the upper level is for departures.

By Bus:
Locations: Taxis wait upstairs, outside the check-in levels of Terminals 1 and 2.
Costs: To the City centre: ~YUM 1000/€14/20 mins. Beware of overcharging at this airport.
Notes: Using taxis to destinations outside Belgrade city is not recommended, as prices are often unreasonably high. All licensed taxi drivers have a badge, an oval blue license plate with a serial number, and the Belgrade Coat of Arms displayed on the roof. Belgrade Airport has a problem with the so-called "Taxi Mafia": unlicensed drivers and touts, who wait around the International Arrivals exit to solicit business of tourists going into the city centre. They typically charge about RSD 2000/€25. This should change by October 2007, when new rules are introduced, but on my visit in October 2007, they were still touting for trade.
Taxi Companies: Beotaxi 970, Beogradsk Taxi 9801, Žuti taxi 9802, Akademac Taxi 417-022, Alfa Taxi 4441-113, Alo Taxi 532-2888, Čukarica Taxi 555-999, Ekonomik Taxi 397-33-27, Maksis Taxi 581-111, Naxi Taxi 157-668, Palma Taxi 316 2020, Pink Taxi 9803 or 488-99-77, Plavi Taxi 555-444, Taxi Bel 9808 & Zeleni Taxi 3246-088.
