By Taxi: 
To the city centre the published fare is €30 within the Aurelian walls in either direction. However in practice you may be asked to pay €40. Journey time 25-60 mins depending on traffic, which can be heavy at times. To Fiumicino Airport €50-60/35-50 mins.

By Bus:
Terravision Bus to Rome Termini: Terravision's Rome Coach Services There is a bus operated by Terravision to Rome Termini railway station. It departs Ciampino every 15-45 mins 0840-0020. Departures from Termini are 0430-1930. Takes 40 mins. Cost: €4 adult one way and €8. Child discounts apply. Terravision buses leave from the stops right alongside the departure side of the terminal.
ATTRAL bus to Anangina Metro: Route: The blue ATTRAL buses run from the public bus stops (cross the car park from the terminal) to metro station Anagnina (on line A) and some buses also stop at the Ciampino railway station (marked with a * below). Timings: Buses leave the airport on work days every 40 mins 0600-2240. On weekends and holidays every 40 mins 0720-2240. Buses leave Anangina Metro station on the edge of the city on work days at  0630*, 0720, 0800*, 0840, 0920*, 1000, 1040*, 1120, 1200, 1240, 1320, 1400*, 1440*, 1520, 1600, 1640*, 1720*, 1740, 1800*, 1820, 1840*, 1920*, 2000*, 2040, 2200 & 2310. On Holidays at 0720*, 0800*, 0840, 0920*, 1000, 1040*, 1120, 1200*, 1240*, 1320*, 1400, 1440*, 1520, 1600*, 1640, 1720*, 1800*, 1840*, 1920, 2000*, 2040, 2100, 2200 & 2310. * = stops at Ciampino train station. Travel Time: Takes 10-15 mins to Anagnina. Once at Anagnina, follow the M sign to find the Metro station (line A). Metro tickets can be bought from a machine and cost €1 for 75 mins travel. To Termini (main train station) 20 mins. To Spagna (Spanish Steps) 25-30 mins. Trains run every 5 mins. Cost: Adult one way €1.20. Tickets can be bought from the little booth in arrivals. You can also buy them on the bus although they may cost €0.10 more. There is an extra charge of €1.20 for very large luggage. Contact: ATTRAL Freephone number: 800 700 805.

Buses leave Termini daily at 0445 & 0450 only. Travel Time: Takes 40 mins. Cost: Adult one way €5. Tickets can be bought from the little booth in arrivals. You can also buy them on the bus although they may cost €0.10 more. There is an extra charge of €1.20 for very large luggage. Contact: ATTRAL Freephone number: 800 700 805.
Sitbus to Roma Termini: Route: Buses run from the public bus stops (cross the car park from the terminal) to Roma Termini, the main train station in the city centre. Timings: Buses leave the airport daily every 45 mins 0830-2345. Buses leave Termini daily at 0430, 0630, 0700, 0715, then every 30-45 mins until 2100 & 2115. Travel Time: Takes 45 mins. Cost: Adult one way €6. Tickets can be bought on the bus. By Train: Take one of the above mentioned buses and leave at Ciampino train station or Anagnina metro station. Then take the train or Metro, which runs every 5 mins. Rental Cars:
On-Airport Rental Car Providers: AVIS, Hertz, eSixT, Maggiore, EUROPCAR, Thrifty & AutoEuropa are all represented at the airport. There are no desks in the terminal, instead, shuttle buses run from outside departures to the remote locations near Car Park P8.

: First 3 hrs, €3 per hour, 4th to 12th hrs €1 per hour, 13th - 24th hour free. Daily cost €18. From the 5th day €8 per day.

Airport Overview:
Several Terminal buildings A, B & C. Taxis and buses wait outside. The terminal facilities are fairly basic.
By Taxi: You are advised to use only authorised taxis (white vehicles with a meter) that are available in the arrivals areas of the terminals. The fares are as follows: Fixed starting rate €2.33 plus rate 1, urban rates, or rate 2, extra urban rates (outside the City Ring Road). Supplements may also be added for luggage, night-time runs and on public holidays. Average to the city centre €40-50/40 mins. To Ciampino Airport ~€50/30 mins. The published fare to anyehere within the Aurelian walls is €40 in either direction, but you may be asked for more.

Terravision Shuttle Bus: Terravision's Rome Coach Services Runs along the route: Fiumicino domestic & intl arrivals, via Aurelia (Centro Panorama), via Aurelia (Via Aurelia 666, Hotel Ergife), Piazza Irnerio (Via Aurelia, 420), Lepanto (Metro line A, Via Lepanto 4) & Rome Termini station, Via Marsala 22. Departs from the airport daily at 0830, 1050, 1230, 1430, 1630, 1830 & 2030. Departs from Via Marsala 22, Termini Station daily at 0630, 0920, 1030, 1230, 1430, 1630 & 1830. Cost: €9 adult one way and €5 child (2-12 years) one way. Adult return €15. Child return €10. Takes ~70 mins.
Schiaffini Travel Shuttle: Runs from the airport (outside the arrivals halls of the domestic & intl terminals) to Roma Termini Railway Station (Via Marsala in front of Royal Santina Hotel). Leaves the airport daily at 1625 & 1700. Leaves Termini daily 1320 & 1355. Cost: €8 one way.
COTRAL Bus to Lepanto: Runs on the route: Airport (domestic & intl arrivals), Fiumicino Cancelli Rossi, Fiumicino Via delle Ombrine, Focene, Focene Bv, Fregene, Maccarese, Maccarese FS, Ponte Arrone, Castel di Guido, Castel di Guido bv, Malagrotta, GRA Aurelia & Lepanto (Metro line A and bus station).
COTRAL Bus to Roma Magliana: Runs on the route: Airport (domestic & intl arrivals), Fiumicino Cancelli Rossi, Fiumicino Via delle Ombrine, Fiumicino Via della Foce Micin, Fiumicino Via T.Clementina, Fiumicino Via delle Ombrine, Fiumicino Cancelli Rossi, Ponte Galeria, GRA Magliana & Roma Magliana.
Night Service COTRAL: Runs from the airport (outside the arrivals halls of the domestic & intl terminals) to Roma Tiburtina. Leaves the airport daily at 0115, 0215, 0330 & 0500. Leaves Tiburtina daily at 0030, 0115, 0230 & 0345. Cost: €5 one way.

By Train:
To get to the station, leave the airport terminal by escalator/walkway to the railway station (all under one roof). On entering the concourse buy a ticket at the TABAC (signed 'Buy train tickets here' - speaks English). Then, on platform #1 validate the ticket in one of the machines there.
SPECIAL TRAIN Leonardo Express: Runs from the airport non-stop to Roma Termini right in the centre of the city, where you can connect to the metro. To the Airport: The Leonardo Express train leaves from Roma Termini station every 30 mins 0552-2252. The train makes no en-route stops. From the Airport: Trains leaves from Fiumicino Airport station every 30 mins 0635-2335. The train makes no mid-journey stops.
Cost: Ticket price €11 one way. Takes ~35 mins. Because of the difficulties of getting tickets at the Rome 'Termini' and the city in general, you are advised to buy your return ticket here at the same time. They are usable for both directions with no apparent expiry date. BUT DO NOT VALIDATE THE RETURN ONE NOW.
Metropolitan Train FM1: Runs from the Airport station to Roma Tiburtina, Fara Sabina, Poggio Mirteto & Orte. Timings: Runs Mon-Sat every 15 mins 0627-2127 and also at these times: 0557, 2157, 2227, 2257 & 2327. On Sundays every 30 mins 0557-2327. You can also transfer to the Metro at Ostinense. Transfer to the tram at Trastevere (direction Largo Argentina for the Colosseum & Pantheon).
Cost: Ticket price €5 one way to the city. Transfer time to Roma Tiburtina 30-40 mins.
