Hamilton Island (HTI):
Location: In the heart of the Whitsunday islands, just off the Queensland Coast and at the edge of the Great Barrier Reef. 39 km/24 Miles ENE of Proserpine (on the mainland) and 91 km/57 Miles NNW of Mackay (on the mainland).
Note: Although the airport is on one of the Whitsunday Islands, most accommodations are on other islands, which can involve a costly transfer by sea.

By Taxi: To Mt Isa town ~5 mins. Taxis are available outside the terminal. A courtesy phone linking you directly to the Taxi Company is on the eastern side of the terminal, facing the main carpark.
