| Sun Bus Route #24 to Cathedral City: | This bus stops on the main road outside the terminal (S El Cielo Rd), across the car park. 3-5 minute walk. Route: Cathedral City (San Luis Rey & Ramon) - West on Ramon - El Cielo Northbound (where it passes close to the airport) - West on Tahquitz - North on Sunrise - W on Vista Chino then up towards Racquet Club and Tramview. Timings: Buses run daily ~0620-2030 every ~45-60 mins. Takes ~20 mins to Cathedral City. Cost: $1. Tel: (760) 343 3451. |
| Sun Bus Route #31: | Route: Runs from Thousand Palms and Cathedral city to Vista Chino Westbound - Gene Autry Southbound (where it passes the airport eastern perimeter, home to the Palm Springs Air Museum and Atlantic Aviation FBO. It does not serve the passenger terminal. Timings: Buses run Mon-Fri only 8 times a day in each direction. Buses pass the Air Museum heading towards Cathedral City at around 0553, 0758, 0938, 1118, 1408, 1618, 1803 & 1948. Cost: $1. Tel: (760) 343 3451. |
| Amtrak Bus: | AMTRAK runs trains to Bakersfield (a long way North) and connects to this service by Bus #19a & 19b. It stops at this airport twice a day in each direction. Southbound it leaves Bakersfield at 1210 & 1620 and routes via La Crescenta - Pasadena Hilton - Claremont Metrolink Station - San Bernardino Amtrak - San Bernardino McDonalds - Beaumont Civic Center - calling at PSP airport at 1725 & 2135. It then continues south to Palm Desert & Indio (Highway 111 at Monroe) arriving in Indio 54 mins later. Northbound it departs Indio daily at 0640 & 1125, stops at Palm Springs airport at 0720 & 1205, and arrives at Bakersfield Amtrak at 1305 & 1805. The train then connects onto Hanford, Fresno, Merced, Modesto, Stockton, Sacramento & Oakland. Advance reservations are required on this service. The bus stop can be found by exiting the terminal at the far right (North End) and turning right. 50m walk. |
