| Bay Area Rapid Transit Train all over the Bay Area: | BART is a metro train system which runs all over the San Francisco Bay area. It is fast, clean and efficient. There is a BART train station (Coliseum/Oakland Airport) near the airport and reached by airBART buses (see bus section above) or by AC Transit 50 buses (every 15 mins on weekdays and every 30 mins at weekends). The most useful station for downtown San Francisco (city center) is Powell St. Trains take about 25 mins to get there and cost $3.35. Tickets must be bought from a machine in the station.
