Durham - Tees Valley/Teeside (MME):  Location: 11 km/7 Miles SW of Stockton-on-Tees, 8 km/5 Miles ESE of Darlington, 11 km/7 Miles W of Middlesborough & 31 km/19 Miles S of Durham.  Airport Map: Click hereBy Taxi: Available from outside terminal, turn left on exit. To Newcastle £45-50. To Durham ~35 mins. To Darlington (for the train station) ~20 mins. By Bus:
The bus stop at tis airport can be found by exiting the terminal and turning right. 100m walk.
Arriva Bus #20 to Stockton, Yarm & Middlesborough: Runs to Middlesborough Mon-Sat only. £1.80/35-45 mins. Route: Airport - Longnewton (Vane Arms) - Urlay Nook - Yarm Town Hall (25 mins) - Orchard Estate - Elton (Sutton Arms) - Hartburn (Birkdale Rd) - Stockton on Tees/High St North (50 mins) - Princeton Drive - Middlesborough Bus Station (1 hour 10).
Departs the airport Mon-Fri: 0719, 0819 then every hour until 1819. Saturdays: 0819 then every hour until 1819. No Sunday bus.
Departs Middlesborough Town Hall Mon-Fri: 0656, 0806, then every hour until 1706. Saturdays: 0706, then every hour until 1706. No Sunday bus.
Arriva Bus #74 to Darlington & Neasham: Runs every 30-60 mins between the Airport, Darlington and Neasham. Route: Airport - Oak Tree - Middleton One Row - Middleton St George - Dinsdale - Morton Park Morrison's - Darlington Town Centre - Croft on Tees - Hurworth Place (The Comet) - Hurworth on Tees - Hurworth (Emmerson Rd) - Neasham (Library). Early morning trips do not call at Middleton. Not all buses continue beyond Darlington to Neasham.
Departs the Airport Mon-Fri: 0705, 0740, 0800, 0850, then every 30 mins until 1550, 1630, 1705, 1735, 1820, 1755 & 1850. Saturdays: 0810, 0850 then every 30 mins until 1550, 1630, 1705, 1735, 1820 & 1850. No Sunday Service. Reduced service on bank Holidays.
Departs Darlington Town Centre Mon-Fri: 0640, 0710, 0735, 0753, 0818, 0848, 0920 then every 30 mins until 1820. Saturdays: 0745, 0820, 0848, 0920 then every 30 mins until 1650, 1750 & 1820. No Sunday Service. Reduced service on bank Holidays.

Tees Valley Sky Express 737 Bus to Darlington: The Tees Valley Sky Express 737 bus runs between the airport, Darlington train station & Darlington Town Hall. The route is a triangular one routing: Airport - Train tation - Town Hall - Airport. No service on Christmas Day.
Departs the airport Mon-Sat at 0735, 0835, 0935, 1035, 1105, 1135, 1205, 1235, 1305, 1335, 1405, 1435, 1505, 1535, 1605, 1635, 1705, 1735, 1805, 1835, 1905, 1935, 2005, 2035, 2135 & 2235. Departs the airport on Sundays at 0935, 1035, 1135, 1235, 1305, 1335, 1405, 1435, 1505, 1535, 1605, 1635, 1705, 1735, 1805, 1835, 1935, 2035, 2135 & 2235.
Departs the train station in Darlington Mon-Sat at: 0700, 0800, 0900, 1000, 1030, 1100, 1130, 1200, then every 30 mins until 1800, 1830, 1900, 1930, 2000, 2100 & 2200. Sundays at: 0900, 1000, 1100, 1200, then every 30 mins until 1800, 1900, 2000, 2100 & 2200.
Departs the Darlington Town Hall: 5 mins later than the times shown above.
Cost £2, but free if holding a valid boarding card or ticket for air travel within 24 hrs. Takes 20 mins to Darlington.

By Train: There is a train station less than 1 km/1 mile from the airport, called Teesside Airport Station. The nearest main train station is Darlington, from where you can catch a bus or taxi to the airport. Trains from Darlington run to Durham and all over the country.

Car Parking: The car parks are right in front of the terminal. Rates: 15 mins free, 30 mins £2, 1 hour £3, 2 hrs £5, 3 hrs £7, 4 hrs £8, 1 day £12, 2 days £23, then £5 per extra day. 8 days £53, 15 days £88. Maximum charge £100. Newcastle (NCL):  Location: 10 km/6 Miles W of the City.  Airport Map: Click here By Taxi: To Newcastle city centre ~£15/20-30 mins. Airport Taxi Association operates from a desk in the Terminal, on the left as you exit arrivals. All vehicles are available immediately in front of the Terminal. For pre-booking call: 0191 214 6969 or 4308. Approximate cost: To the city centre £13-14, Gateshead £17-18, Metro Centre £13-14 & Jesmond £13. All taxis can seat upto 7 people. By Bus:
Services 76 76A 77 77A 78 78E 79 79A These services run from the city centre (Eldon Square bus Concourse) to the Airport ~every 20 mins during the day and less often in the evenings: Mon to Sat 0607- 2300 from Eldon Square. Sunday 0830-1830. Tickets cost £1.60 from central Newcastle. Takes ~25 mins.
Service 101 Serves Blyth & Cramlington. Mon-Sat: 0400-2100 from Blyth.  Sunday: 0800-2100.  From Cramlington Mon-Sat: 0421-2121. Sunday: 0821-2121. Cost £1.90 from Cramlington & £2.30 from Blyth
Service 102 Serves the Metro Centre shopping Centre and western Newcastle upon Tyne: From Metro Centre Mon-Sat: 0949, 1119, 1249 & 1419. From the airport: 0910 , 1040, 1210 & 1340. Cost £1.80.
National Express Runs occaisonal services to Newcastle Bus station, and from there to the rest of the UK.

By Train:
The Metro to Newcastle & Gateshead: The Metro is the easiest way of travelling to the Airport from the city centres & mainline railway stations at Newcastle & Sunderland. The Airport Metro station is right next to the passenger terminal - turn left immediately you exit arrivals.
Route: The train line runs as follows: Airport - Callerton Parkway - Bank Foot - Kingston Park - Fawdon - Wansbeck Road - Regent Centre - South Gosforth (transfer available to Whitley Bay) - Ilford Rd - West Jesmond - Jesmond - Haymarket - Monument (Transfer available to St James and North Shields) - Newcastle Central Station - Gateshead - Gateshead stadium - Felling - Heworth - Pelaw (transfer available to South Shields) - Sunderland. All trains go to Newcastle city centre, Gateshead & Sunderland.
Timings: Travel time to the city is 20-25 mins and trains run as often as every 7 mins. Trains run Mon-Sat 0547-2354 & Sunday 0612-2354.
Transfer Times: To Newcastle city centre ~23 mins. Gateshead ~26 mins. To Whitley Bay ~38 mins (change at South Gosforth. South Shields ~50 mins (change at Pelaw).
Cost: To the Airport from Newcastle/Sunderland city centres is £2 single/£3 return (£3.80 at peak periods). For unlimited travel for 1 day, you can buy tickets from £3 for 1 day (after 0900) or £3.80 before 0900, and from £8.80 for 1 week. To the Rest of the UK: Transfer to trains to all parts of the UK at Newcastle Central Station.
