16 km/9 Miles W of Montreal city centre.
Airport Overview:
A single large terminal with arrivals on the ground floor, and departures on the upper level. Buses and taxis wait outside the lower level. Short term car parks are opposite.
Driving directions: The airport is situated on E-W Highway 20, but can be reached from Montreal directly along Highway 520.

By Taxi:
General: Taxis wait outside the baggage reclaim area on the ground level.
Taxi Meters: Initial charge $3.30, then $1.60 for each extra km. $0.60 per minute of waiting. Minimum charge for a trip from the airport $16.25.
Approximate Costs: From the City: There is a defined area of the city from which the fare to the airport is a standard CAD $38. To the City: To the city center $38/25-40mins, Notre Dame de Grace $30/25 mins, Verdun $30/25 mins. To Mirabel Airport $70+.

Timings: Buses leave the airport for Dorval Station Mon-Fri every ~30 mins 0625-0025, Saturdays every ~30 mins 0614-0029 & Sundays every ~30 mins 0927-0031. Buses leave the airport for Fairview Mon-Fri every ~30 mins 0604-2328, Saturdays every ~30 mins 0634-2329 & Sundays every ~30 mins 0949-2329. Cost: $3, exact change needed. Night bus #356: Route: Pine Beach Station - Airport Terminal - Dorval Station - Atwater Metro in the city. Timings: Buses leave the airport for the city nightly every 60 mins 0130-0430. Cost: $3, exact change needed. Contact: Operated by STCUM Tel (514) 280 7474.
Local bus #211: Route: Does not call at the terminal, but runs from nearby Dorval railway station to Lionel Groulx Metro Station in the city. Cost: $3/40 mins. Operated by STCUM Tel (514) 280 7474.
Airline Bus to Ottawa: KLM, Swiss & Air France passengers have a special bus that runs to Ottawa in accordance with flights of those airlines. Buses leave from Pier 7 at the airport.

By Shuttle Van: runs shuttle vans and private cars from this airport to various locations including downtown Motreal. Click here to make a reservation.

Orleans Express: Run shuttles to Granby, Magog, Quebec City, Sherbrooke, Ste Foy & Trois Rivieres.

By Train: Dorval Railway station is a 10 minute walk from the terminal (but not an easy walk), or by local bus #204 Eastbound. There is also claimed to be a dedicated free shuttle that runs to the train station. Trains from this station are rather infrequent, but Ottawa and Kingston are served daily.

Rental Cars:
On-Airport Rental Car Providers: ALAMO, AVIS, BudgetDollar, Enterprise, Hertz, National & Thrifty all have desks on the lower level of the multi-storey car park, opposite the terminal. 5-10 minute walk.

Car Parking:
Short Term: ProxiParc: In the multi-storey car park opposite the terminal: 30 mins $6, 1 day $16 or 25 depending on whether you are parked near or far from the terminal.
Long Term: EconoParc: Connected by a free shuttle bus. Cost: 1 day $10, 1 week $55.
Valet Parking: $16 per day plus a $20 service charge.

By Taxi: From Longueil Metro C$15/10 mins.
By Bus & Metro: 
Metro to Longeuil C$1.85, then Bus #28 C$2.55, every 30 min to Airport Terminal. Total Time ~1hour.
This airport is for General Aviation only, and has no scheduled or charter passenger flights.
