Airport Overview:
General: 2 Terminals: Terminal 1 & Terminal 2. They are on opposite sides of the airport runways, and connected by shuttle buses.
Terminal 1: Terminal 1 is a very long thin terminal, which takes 10-15 mins to walk the full length. Arrivals and transport is on the lower level. At one end is Domestic Arrivals (Hall A), and at the other, International (Hall B). Domestic check in is in the centre of the lower level. Upstairs is for departures, International Check-in, shops & restaurants. Intl flights depart from hall B. Buses depart from a bus station reached from the upper level of Hall B (see bus section below). Airlines serving Terminal 1: Interjet, MagniCharter, Mexicana, Volaris, Aerolineas Argentinas, Avianca, LAN, Air Canada, British Airways, Lufthansa, Cubana, Taca, Alaska Airlines, Iberia, Air France, KLM, United, American Airlines, Lacsa & US Airways.
Terminal 2: Terminal 2 is more compact and easier to navigate than T1. It is all on one level. Airlines serving Terminal 2: Aeromar, Aeromexico, Aeromexico Connect, Aero Republica, Continental, Copa & Delta.
Transfer between Terminals: Aerotren/Airtrain is a fast free train that runs from the upper level of Terminal 1 (follow signs across the walkway over the road) to and from Terminal 2. It is only for use with connecting passengers with onward boarding cards on the following airlines: Aeromexico, Aeromar, Continental, Copa, Delta & LAN.
There is a Red Bus that runs from outside door 7 on the lower level of Terminal 1 to the bus station at Terminal 2.
Route: Terminal 1 - Aduanas - Hangares Metro Station - Terminal 2.
Timings: Buses run every 10 mins and take 10 mins to get to the other terminal.
Cost: Between Terminal 1 & 2: MXN 12.50. To Hangares Metro station & Aduana MXN 6.50.

By Taxi:
General: Taxis wait outside Terminal 1 (Hall A & near door 10 at Hall B) and Terminal 2 arrivals. However, you are recommended to use an authorized taxi from one of the desks in arrivals.
Authorized Taxi Companies: Prepaid taxi tickets are available from the Authorized Taxi Service booths in baggage reclaim. Authorized taxis are white and mustard yellow with an aeroplane logo, and travellers are strongly advised to use these and to lock the taxi doors when inside. Companies with desks in Terminal 1 & 2 are: Nueva Imagen, Sitio 3000, excelencia, Pro Taxi, ToTaxi, Yellow Cab.
Taxi Meter Rates: Taxi meters charge MXN 24.64 initially, then MXN 1.65 per 250m travelled or 45 seconds waiting. 20% surcharge applies 2300-0600.
Approximate Costs: Taxi fares are calculated on a zonal basis, the city being divided up into a number of zones. The city center (Zocalo & Zona Rosa) are in Zone 4. To the city centre MXN 260-360/40-60 mins. To Zona Rosa MXN 230-330/45-70 mins. To Polanco ~MXN 260/45-70 mins. Loing distance fares are approximately: Pachuca MXN 1300, Toluca MXN 1250, Cuernavaca MXN 1450, Puebla MXN 1780 & Queretaro MXN 2440.

By Bus from terminal 1:
General: At Terminal 1, buses depart from a bus station reached from the upper level of Hall B. Follow signs on the upper level for 'Terminal Terrestre'.
Long Distance Buses: There are desks selling tickets for the buses that run to cities including: Cuernavaca, Cordoba, Tlaxcala, Pachuca, Puebla, Queretaro & Toluca.
Estrella Roja Buses: Estrella Roja Buses run from the Airport Terminal to Puebla, Cholula, Huejotzingo & San Martín.
Cost: To Puebla MXN 200 one way, MXN 400 round trip.
Estrella Blanca Buses: Estrella Blanca Buses run from the Airport Terminal to Tulancingo.
Timings: Buses leave Terminal 1 daily at 0610, 0950, 1400 & 2040. Buses leave Tulancingo daily at 0400, 0800, 1130 & 1700.
TMT Caminante Buses: Run buses from the airport to Toluca.
Timings: Buses leave Terminal 1 daily at 0730, 0900, 1030, then every hour until 2130 & 2300. Buses leave Toluca every hour 0400-1000, 1130, 1300,, 1400, 1500, 1600, 1700, 1830 & 2000.
Cost: To Toluca MXN 135 one way, MXN 260 round trip.
Primera Plus Buses: Run buses from the airport to San Juan del Rio & Queretaro. Cost: To San Juan del Rio MXN 168 one way & Queretaro MXN 269 one way.
Grupo Pullman de Morelos: Run buses from the airport to Cuernavaca. Cost: Cuernavaca MXN 150 one way.

By Train:
Nearest Metro Stations: Terminal 1 has a Metro station close by, called Terminal Aerea. To reach the station, marked with an M sign, turn left out of Terminal 1 and walk past the car park. It is 3 minute walk from the domestic arrivals end of terminal 1. Follow the signs. The metro station is on line #5. If using Terminal 2, the nearest Metro station is Pantitlan, reached by a shuttle bus. There is a 3rd metro stop, Hangares, between the 2 terminals, that is served by the inter terminal shuttle bus (see above). For central Mexico City, change at Pantitlan (2 stops South of Terminal Aerea) onto line #1 or 9. There is limited baggage space on the trains. The metro is cheap and quick, but crowded at rush hour.
Route: Line 5: Pantitlan (connect to Line 1 for central Mexico City and to Line 9) - Hangares (bus connection to Terminal 2) - Terminal Aerea (walk to Terminal 1) - Oceania (Connect to line B to Northern Mexico City). Mexico City Metro Map.
Timings: Trains run frequently from early until late. Mon-Fri 0500-0000. Saturdays 0600-0000. Sundays & holidays 0700-0000.

Rental Cars:
Terminal 1 Rental Car Providers: Some rental car companies have desks on the arrivals level, near hall A. Follow the signs down a corridor. There include: AVIS, Budget, EUROPCAR, HERTZ, ACE, Thrifty & National. These companies have a second set of desks between doors 7 & 8 on the lower level, and are joined by eSixT. Gold Car Rental, is separate, near Door 7 on the lower level. Between doors 8 & 9 are further desks for ACE, EZ, Dollar & Thrifty.
Terminal 2 Rental Car Providers: The following companies haves desks in the terminal: ALAMO, eSixT, AVIS, Budget, HERTZ & National.

Car Parking: At Terminal 1, Car parks are across the main road outside the terminal. At Terminal 2, parking is in a garage connected to the terminal. Cost: Each hour MXN 44. Each 01-30 mins MXN 22, from 31-45 mins MXN 33, from 46-60 mins MXN 44. 7-24 hrs MXN 288.
Baggage Storage: Left luggage facilities are available. In Terminal 1 there are on the lower level between doors 8 & 9. Cost: MXN 100, 120 or 140 depending on size per 24 hrs. The office is open 24 hrs a day. In Terminal 2 there are lockers available 24 hrs.
Money Services: There are several Bureaux de Change/Currency Exchange desks in Terminal 1 & 2 arrivals. ATMs/Cash Machines are in arrivals of both terminals.
Airport Hotels: The Hilton Hotel is on the upper level of Terminal 1. Courtyard by Marriott will open opposite Terminal 1 in 2012. Hotels near Terminal 1 include: Ramada Hotel & Hotel Aeropuerto. The nh hotel is in Terminal 2.
