Taxi service from many Mexican airports to the city
can be a rip off due to airport monopolies (Maybe $10-20 extra).
Look for Colectivos (shuttle vans) that usually have a much more reasonable rate into town. Airport
in Spanish is: Aeropuerto. A
colectivo is a shared minibus or van. |

Acapulco - Alvarez Intl (ACA):
Location: 19 km/12 Miles SE of the City.
By Taxi:
US$20-25/35 mins to the beach area hotels.
By Bus: Servicio Colectivo about every 10 mins 0700-last flight.
~US$5. Drops on request along the route. Look for their vehicle in
front of the terminal. Transportes Terrestres runs a shuttle service into the city
at a cost of ~75 Pesos. Reservations for the trip back to the airport should be made at least a day in advance (462-1095 or 462-1172).

Guadalajara (GDL):
Location:
12 Miles/17 km SE of Guadalajara and 10 Miles/15 km from
Chapala.
Driving directions: To reach the airport from Guadalajara take Highway #2 in the direction of Chapala.
By Taxi:
Autotransportaciones Aeropuerto (Tel 3/812-4278 or 3/812-4308) is a minibus and taxi service to/from anywhere in
the Guadalajara area. Fares range from US$12-18 for up to 3 people going to the same destination. At the airport, buy a ticket at the
booth outside the terminal exit. Going to the airport, a regular city taxi should charge similar fares, though they are not allowed to pick up
passengers at the airport. Takes 30 mins. Fares increase ~25% at night.
By Bus: The airport bus (Servicio Colectivo) meets all flights outside the terminal building and takes
passengers to the city centre every 30-60 mins (~US$10/35 mins).

Puerto Vallarta - Gustavo Díaz Ordáz Intl (PVR):
Location:
8 km/5 miles N of the City.
By Taxi: Taxis charge rates based on zones of travel and are paid for before travelling at a small kiosk just outside the terminal
building exit. Charges for Areomovil transportation are a little more
expensive than regular taxi service. If you prefer a regular taxi, you can
walk a few metres to the highway, and flag down a taxi. To the city US$6-10.
By Bus: Combi buses (Colectivo minivan) run to town for 4 pesos/US$0.40.

By Shuttle Van: Volaris Airlines has a shuttle service from Toluca airport to a small bus terminal to the south of Mexico City. It is free of charge to Volaris passengers,
