Taxi service from many Mexican airports to the city
can be a rip off due to airport monopolies (Maybe $10-20 extra).
Look for Colectivos (shuttle vans) that usually have a much more reasonable rate into town. Airport
in Spanish is: Aeropuerto. A
colectivo is a shared minibus or van. |

Location:
6 km/4 Miles SE of the City.
By Taxi: Available.
By Bus:
Collectivo Taxis
(minibuses that drop passengers at their individual destinations) run regularly between the airport and town.

Ciudad del Carmen (CME):
Location: At the western end of carmen Island, close to the city.
By Bus:
A public bus is reported to serve the airport.
Several hotels such as the Fiesta Inn provide airport shuttles for guests. The Holiday Inn provides a free shuttle.

180.
By Taxi: To Merida city center ~US$8+.
By Bus: Bus#79 runs infrequently to the city centre for US$0.35.
