Airport Overview: There are 3 terminals: T1, T2 & T3 (for domestic & British Airways). They are all joined by covered walkways to The Station - a combined train and bus station with some shops too. All public buses run from here. To walk from T3 to T2 takes about 15-20 mins.

| Routes: | Direct services from the airport station run to Manchester Piccadilly, Manchester Victoria, Blackpool, Bolton, Crewe and Newcastle. Change at Piccadilly for other destinations. There is a direct London Euston service 4 times per day. Journey time is ~3 hrs. |
| Manchester Services: | Timings: The Manchester Piccadilly service has 8 trains per hour during the day Mon-Sat (4-5 on Sundays), 3-5 trains per hour in the late evening (4 per hour on Sundays) plus a limited overnight service (1-2 trains per hour – not between 0130 and 0330). Journey time is 20 mins. Cost: £3.20 one way (£3.80 between 0130 and 0930 Mon-Friday); £3.30 cheap day return (£6.40 between 0130 and 0930 Mon- Friday); open return £7.60 (double the most expensive single fare). After 1830 a half-price evening day return may be cheaper (available between any stations in Greater Manchester; Airport to Manchester would be £1.65). Baggage Storage: Left luggage facilities are available in terminals 1 & 2, operated by the Excess baggage Company. £5.50 per item per 24 hrs. They are in the main concourse of each terminal and are open Mon-Sat 0800-200 and Sunday 0800-1600.
Currency Services: ATMs/Cash machines & Bureau de Change/Currency Exchange available in all terminals.
