Luxembourg Intl (LUX): Location: 8 km/5 Miles NE of Luxembourg city centre. 38km/24 miles SW of Trier in Germany. Airport Overview: One small terminal with both arrivals and departures on one level. However, technically, the airport is divided into terminals A and B. Terminal B is for flights to Schengen countries, while Terminal A is for non-Schengen destinations. Check-in for all flights is in Terminal A. Passengers for Schengen countries, then proceed to Terminal B for boarding. | Due to construction work at the airport (February 2007), buses stop a few hundred metres from the terminal entrance. Exit arrivals and turn left, past the car rental office, to the bus stop. There are no signs to lead you this way, and the buses waiting at the stop cannot be seen from the terminal building. | |
| City Bus#16 to the city centre & Kirchberg: | Route: Runs from the airport through Kirchberg, the city centre calling at the Gare centrale/Main train station and on to Bonnevoie, Howald & Hesper. Route Details: Airport - Sennéngerbierg-Héienhaff - John F Kennedy - Coudenhove-Kalergi - Philarmonie/MUDAM - Fondation Pescatore - Royal - Paris - Gare Central/Main Train station - Dernier Sol - Neufchâteau - Rangwee - Howald-Ronnebesch - Hesper-Cité Um Schlass. To catch the bus from the train station, go to Quai 9, right outside the main station entrance. |
