Location: 10 km/6 Miles NE of the City.

Airport Overview: 2 terminals: The larger
original terminal one, with bus stops outside and the brand new terminal 2 to
the south. terminal 2 is for domestic flights of TAP, SATA, and Aerocondor.
There is a separate car rental building nearby. A shuttle bus connects the 2
terminals.

To the city centre €10/25-45 mins, Saldanha ~€5/15
mins, Avenida de Liberdade ~€8. Extra for bags. At night prices are
20% higher. Standard rates for urban journeys are €0.40 per km by day and €0.48
at night. Pre-paid taxis are available from the Tourist desk in arivals. |

To avoid
being overcharged by taxi drivers, locals recommend the following: Avoid
the taxis at Arrivals. Walk to the departures area and take a taxi
there. All taxi meters should display €2.50 on departure. |

Coaches leave from directly outside the door from
arrivals. There are 2 bus stops just outside. |

Bus 91-Aerobus/Hotel Shuttle to the City
Centre: |
Route: Airport - Entrecampos station - Campo Pequeno - Av República - Saldanha -
Picoas - Fontes Pereira Melo - Marqués Pombal - Av Liberdade -
Restauradoras (for tourist office) - Rossio (in the city centre) - Praça
da Comercio (for train services to the Algarve) & Cais Sodré (for trains
to Estoril & Cascais). On return to the airport, this bus drops off
at departures, before going to arrivals. |

Timings: Buses leave the airport every 20 mins 0740-2045. |

Cost: One-way €1.30. A €3.50 ticket is valid all day on city buses & trams.

To Cascais/Estoril: |
As from
January 2007, the Shuttle bus from the airport to Estoril/Cascais is no longer in operation.
The easiest way now is to get the airport bus to Cais do Sodre station in Lisbon and then take the train from the station. To Estoril it takes about 30 minutes, and it is a cheap way of getting from the airport. |

is now a Metro station at the airport. This allows transfer to the city
centre in just 16 mins. Route: Transfer is by the Pink Line: Airport -
Encarnação - Moscavide - Oriente - Cabo Ruivo - Olivais - Chelas - Bella Vista -
Olaias - Alameda (transfer to Green Line for port area and city centre) -
Saldanha (transfer to Yellow Line) - S Sebastião (transfer to Blue Line).
