| Note from a traveller April 2007: | It is easier to bargain for taxis upstairs on the departures level than downstairs on the arrivals level. I got a taxi into town for US$5 upstairs without a lot of bargaining. Luckily, I arrived in the afternoon and I think it would be harder to bargain late at night, although still possible upstairs. Downstairs there's a large sign on the wall which says the taxi fare is US$20 anywhere in Beirut or US$30 to points just outside the city. | |
