Liepaja (LPX):
Location:
6 km/4 Miles E of the city centre.
By Taxi:
To Liepaja town ~LVL 4.50.
By Bus: Bus #2 (not to be
confused with with mini-bus #2) runs every 40-60 mins from airport, with
numerous stops including at the Liva Hotel, to the city center. Travel time is
about 20 min. Cost: LVL 0.25. Tickets can be bought from the driver and
must be validated after purchase. A problem might be that at this airport there
is no Bureau de Change/ Currency exchange office. There is only a cash
dispenser, but the smallest latvian banknote is 5 LVL, and the driver may be
unable to change it.

Notes:
ATM/Cash machine at the airport, but no Bureau de Change/Currency Exchange.
There is a free drinking water dispenser both before and after security control.

| Bus#22 | Leaves from Abrenes Street in the city centre and runs to and from the airport. To board the bus at the airport look for the bus stop across the car park from the terminal. Runs every 10–30 mins 0530-2240 & takes ~30 mins. Cost: LVL 0.40. Route: Airport - Best Western Hotel Maria - Zolitudes iela - Pleskodales iela - Apuzes iela - Ventspils iela - Remontu Mehaniska rupnica - Pasts - Mensila iela - Slokas iela - Daugavgrivas iela - Kugu iela - 11 Novembra Krastonala & Stockmann shopping centre in the city. The bus is cheap and easy to use with computerised displays of the next stop. Pay the conductor on board. |
