Liepaja (LPX):
Location:
6 km/4 Miles E of the city centre.
By Taxi:
To Liepaja town ~LVL 4.50.
By Bus: Bus #2 (not to be
confused with with mini-bus #2) runs every 40-60 mins from airport, with
numerous stops including at the Liva Hotel, to the city center. Travel time is
about 20 min. Cost: LVL 0.25. Tickets can be bought from the driver and
must be validated after purchase. A problem might be that at this airport there
is no Bureau de Change/ Currency exchange office. There is only a cash
dispenser, but the smallest latvian banknote is 5 LVL, and the driver may be
unable to change it.

ATM/Cash machine at the airport, but no Bureau de Change/Currency Exchange.
There is a free drinking water dispenser both before and after security control.

Leaves from Abrenes Street in the city centre and runs to and from the airport.
To board the bus at the airport look for the bus stop across the car park from
the terminal. |

Apuzes iela - Ventspils iela - Remontu Mehaniska rupnica - Pasts - Mensila

& Stockmann shopping centre in the city. Timings: Runs
every 10–30 mins 0530-2240 & takes ~30 mins. |

Cost: LVL 0.70.
Pay the driver on board. The bus is cheap and easy to use with
computerised displays of the next stop. |

Notes from a Traveller July 2010: Most
local people use e-tickets which can be bought in advance in some shops and
most kiosks and should be authorised by on-board devices before every trip.
E-tickets can be bought for one or multiple trips and are one trip with
e-ticket is cheaper than with a single trip tickets, which you can buy from
the driver. |

The Radisson SAS runs a free bus for guests every few hours, as does the
