Las Vegas - McCarran Intl (LAS):
Location
5 km/3 Miles SSE of the Strip, and 9 km/6 Miles S of the downtown area.
Airport Overview:
3 Terminals: Terminal 1 which is very large, and the much smaller International Arrivals & Terminal 2. All terminals are close together, but there is an inter-terminal shuttle bus. Rental Cars are all in the new Rent-a-Car center reached by shuttle bus. Taxis, Limos & Shuttles depart from Terminals 1 and 2. The International arrivals terminal is rather basic, and has no facilities.

Transfer Between Terminals:
All terminals are a short walk apart, but there is an inter-terminal shuttle every 10 mins 24 hrs a day. At Terminal 1, the bus runs from the 0 level (one floor below the baggage claim area), across the road beneath the car park.

Terminal 1: AirTran, Alaska, Allegiant, American Airlines, Continental, Delta, Frontier, Horizon, JetBlue, Midwest, Northwest, Spirit, Sun Country, United, Southwest, US Airways, Virgin America, WestJet.
Terminal 2: AeroMexico, Air Canada, Aviacsa, Condor, Hawaiian, Korean,  Mexicana, Omni Air, Philippine Airlines, Ryan Intl, Sunwing, Thomas Cook & Virgin Atlantic.
Intl arrivals terminal: International flight arrivals.

On Foot: Walk to the Strip in 25-30 mins.
By Taxi:
Location: At terminal 1, taxis wait on level 1. Exit the baggage claim area through doors 2, 3 or 4.
Approx Costs: To the Strip/Casinos $12-15/10-15 mins. To Downtown Las Vegas ~$20/15-25 mins. Taxis will not accept credit card payments. There is a $1.20 surcharge on all fares from the airport.
Fare Basis: First one eighth of a mile $3.30, each extra eighth mile $0.25, waiting time $30 per hour. Airport pick-up $1.20.

My Experiences: In general, Las Vegas Taxi drivers are rude and discourteous, demanding minimum tips and verbally abusing passengers.

By Limo:
General: Many companies provide limousine transfers to and from the airport. Limos wait outside terminals 1 and 2. At terminal 1, exit the baggage claim area through doors 7, 8 or 9.

Bell Trans Airport Shuttle: Serves both terminals and runs limos to the city for $47 and Stretch Limos for $60. Shuttles also operated. Tel (702) 739 7990.
LVL/Las Vegas Limousines: Serves both terminals and runs Sedans to the city for $36 and Limos for $43. Ultra stretch limos are $72.
ODS Limousine: Serves both terminals and runs Sedans to the city for $27, Limos for $42 & Ultra stretch limos for $75. Shuttles also operated. Tel (702) 876 2222. Ticket booths are in the terminals.
Ambassador Limousine: Serves both terminals and runs Sedans to the city for $39 & Limos for $55. Tel (702) 889 4242. Ticket booths are in the terminals.
Ritz Transportation: Serves both terminals and runs Sedans to the city for $39 & Limos for $55. Ticket booths are inside the terminals and at the curbside.
Executive Limousine Service: Serves both terminals and runs Sedans to the city for $39, Stretch Limos for $57, Ultra Limos for $75 & Strech SUVs for $95. (Limo prices are per hour). Ticket booths are inside the terminals and at the curbside. Contact: Tel (702) 646 4661 or (702) 851 7900.

By Public Bus:
Bus Stop Location: The public buses operate from Terminal 1, level 0, one floor down from the baggage claim area. Go down the escalator from the baggage claim and go out the door and cross the first road. Turn right and walk the short distance to bus stop 23.
Citizen's Area Transport (CAT) Bus 108 to Downtown: Bus 108 to downtown Las Vegas. Route: Buses leave the Airport (Terminal 1, lower level) and travel north on Swenson & South on Paradise, serving the Las Vegas Convention Center, Hilton Hotel, downtown Las Vegas (but not the strip) & The Downtown Transportation Center. Timings: Buses leave terminal 1 every 20-40 mins 0445-0105 & 0205. 108 Route Map. Tel (702) CAT RIDE. Cost: Adult ride $1.75. Reduced fare $0.75. Pay the driver.
Citizen's Area Transport (CAT) Bus 109 to Downtown: 24 hr service Bus 109 N to downtown Las Vegas (and also southbound). Route: SSTT (South Strip Transfer terminal) - Airport (Terminal 1, lower level) - Maryland Parkway to Downtown Las Vegas (but not the strip), stopping at Fremont St, Casino Center & The Downtown Transportation Center. Timings: Operates every 20-40 mins 24 hrs a day. 109 Route Map. Tel (702) CAT RIDE. Cost: Adult ride $1.75. Reduced fare $0.75. Pay the driver.

By Shuttle Van tp Las Vegas:
General: Numerous companies operate shuttles to the strip ($4.50-5.50) or downtown $6-7.50 They call at terminals 1 and 2. At terminal 1, most shuttle companies operate from level 0, one floor down from the baggage claim area.Some companies, however, operate from level 1: exit the baggage claim area through doors 7, 8 or 9.

ODS (On Demand Sedan) Express Shuttle: Serves both terminals and runs to the Strip $6.50 one-way $15 round trip, Hotels & Downtown Las Vegas $8 one way, $12.50 round trip. Ticket booths are in the terminals. Tel (702) 876 2222 or 1 800 245 9956. This company seems to have frequent services.

ALC/Airline Limousine Corp: Serves both terminals and runs to the Strip $4.50 one-way $8.75 round trip, Hotels & Downtown Las Vegas $6 one way, $11 round trip. Ticket booths are in the terminals.
CLS (Charlies Limousine Service): Serves both terminals and runs to the Strip $5 one-way, Hotels & Downtown Las Vegas $7 one way. Ticket booths are in the terminals.
Showtime Airport Shuttle: Serves both terminals and runs to the Strip $5 one-way ($9.50 round-trip), Hotels & Downtown Las Vegas $6.50 ($12.50 round trip). Ticket booths are in the terminals.
Ritz Shuttle: Serves both terminals and runs to the Strip, Hotels & Downtown Las Vegas. They have a ticket booth in the baggage reclaim area of terminal 1, level 1. Cost: To the strip $6.50 one-way, downtown $8. Contact: (702) 889 4242 or 1 (888) 519 5466.
Gray Line Shuttle: Serves both terminals and runs to the Strip, Hotels & Downtown Las Vegas. They have a ticket booth in the baggage reclaim area of terminal 1, level 1. Cost: To the Strip $6 one way, $12 round trip, downtown $8.50 one way, $16 round trip. Contact: (800) 634 6579.
Executive Limousine Service: Serves both terminals and runs to the Strip Hotels $6, Off-Strip Hotels $7 & Downtown Hotels $9. Sedans and Limos also operated. Ticket booths are in the terminals. Contact: Tel (702) 646 4661 or (702) 851 7900.
Suncoast Shuttle to the Suncoast Casino: Run shuttles to the Suncoast casino & Resort. They depart from level zero. Timings: They offer 6 trips per day: buses leave the airport every 2 hrs 0700-1900. Buses leave Suncoast every 2 hrs 0600-1800.
South Coast Shuttle to the South Coast Casino: Run shuttles to the South Coast casino & Resort. They depart from level zero. Timings: They offer 5 trips per day: buses leave the airport every hour or 2 0645-2000. Buses leave Suncoast every hour or 2 0600-2130.
Hotel Shuttles: Many nearby hotels and casinos offer free shuttles for guests. They depart from level zero. Go down the escalator from the baggage claim and go out the door and floow the pedestrian crosswalk over the roadway. The shuttles depart from below the large car park.

By Shuttle Van to Places outside Las Vegas:
General: Numerous companies operate shuttles to the strip ($4.50-5.50) or downtown $6-7.50 They call at terminals 1 and 2. Out of Town Shuttles: Several shuttles run from the zero level of T2 to such areas as Laughlin, Arizona & Needles, CA.
Mesquite Shuttle to Mesquite: Run shuttles to Mesquite (various hotels). They depart from level zero. Timings: They offer 3 trips per day: buses leave the airport at 0700, 1300 & 1900. Buses leave Mesquite at 0500, 1100 & 1700. Travel Time: To Mesquite: 1:15. Cost: $30 one way, $50 round trip. Contact: (702) 346 6359 or 1419.
St George Shuttle to St George: Run shuttles to St George, UT. They depart from level zero. Timings: They offer several trips per day: buses leave the airport every hour or 2 0745-2130. Buses leave St George every hour or 2 0600-1930. Travel Time: To St George: 1:10.
St George Express to St George: Run shuttles to St George, UT. They depart from level zero. Timings: They offer several trips per day: buses leave the airport every hour or 2 0700-2130. Buses leave St George every hour or 2 0500-1945. Travel Time: To St George: 1:10. Cost: $19 one way.
St George Executive Shuttle to St George: Run shuttles to St George, UT. They depart from level zero. Timings: They offer 3 trips per day: buses leave the airport at 0710, 1210 & 1710. Buses leave St George at 1010, 1510 & 2010. Travel Time: To St George: 1 hour.
Havasu Shuttle to Lake Havasu: Run shuttles to Lake Havasu. They depart from level zero. Timings: They offer several trips per day. Contact: (800) 459 4884.
River City Shuttle to Laughlin etc: Run shuttles to Laughlin/Bullhead City, Lake Havasu City & Needles. They depart from level zero. Timings: They offer 2 per day: buses leave the airport at 1200 & 1800. Reservations required. Contact: (888) 948 3427 or (928) 854 5253.
River City Shuttle to Laughlin etc: Run shuttles to Laughlin/Bullhead City & Kingman. They depart from level zero. Timings: They offer 4 per day. Cost: $44.95 one way, $29.95 for children under 12. Contact: (928) 704 9000.
Hotel Shuttles: Many nearby hotels offer free shuttles for guests. They depart from level zero. Go down the escalator from the baggage claim and go out the door and floow the pedestrian crosswalk over the roadway. The shuttles depart from below the large car park.

Rental Cars:
On-Airport Rental Car Providers: ALAMO/National (702) 261 5391, ADVANTAGE, AVIS 261 5591, HERTZ 736 4900, US Rent-a-Car, Enterprise 261 4435, Savmor, Budget 736 1212,  Dollar 739 9507, Thrifty & PAYLESS 736 6147. All rental car desks are now in the McCarran Rent-a-car Center. This is located at 7135 Gillespie St, and reached by regular free shuttle buses. At Terminal 1, the rental car shuttles depart from between the check-in area and the ground transportation area on level 1 (exit the baggage claim area through doors 10 or 11). At terminal 2, exit the sliding doors from baggage claim and cross the roadway.

Car Parking:
Short Term Parking: 10 mins $0.25, 1 hour $1.50, then $1.50 per hour. Max stay 3 hrs.
Long Term Garage Parking: 15 mins free, 1st hour $3 then $1 per extra hour. Daily Max $12. Max stay 30 days.
Economy Parking: On Russell Road between Paradise Rd & Maryland Parkway. 15 mins free, 1st hour $3, $1 per extra hour. Daily max $6. A free shuttle bus serves the Economy Lot and T1 & T2 every 10 mins 24 hrs a day. At terminal 1, exit the baggage claim area through doors 1 or 2 to find the parking shuttle.
Terminal 2 Uncovered Parking: 1st hour $1, each extra hour $1. Daily max $8. Valet Parking available.

Luggage Storage: Keyless lockers are available past the security checkpoints in T1 & T2. They can be used for up to 48 hours. $2 per hour, $8 per day. Jumbo sized lockers (35"x 19"x 31") $3 per hour, $12 per day.
Money Services:
ATMs/Cash machines in Terminals 1 and 2 but not in International arrivals. The ATMs in terminal 1 are not easy to find - look on level 2. Bureau de Change/Currency exchange available in Terminal 1 baggage claim.
Notes:
Hotel Booking board in Terminals 1 and 2 arrivals areas but not in International arrivals. Free wireless internet access is available in the terminals. Luggage carts available for rent at $4 each.
Airport Hotels:
