Location: 21 km/13 Miles ENE of
the City Centre.
Airport Overview: 2 terminals, A & B, connected
together and it is easy to walk between the 2. Arrivals are on the ground level,
and departures upstairs. There is a common rental car center and bus terminal.
Driving directions:
From Johannesburg, take the
R24 to the airport. From Pretoria, take the R21.
Driving to the airport can be confusing as some sign still refer to the old
airport name of Jan Smuts Intl while others call it JHB International. At
difficult junctions, such as the Gilloolys Interchange, aircraft symbols are
painted on the road to help.
