Helsinki - Vantaa (HEL):
Location: 18 km/11 Miles N of the City centre & 25 km/16 Miles NE of Espoo.

Airport Overview: 2 Terminals: Terminal 1 & Terminal 2. Terminal 2 is mainly for Finnair & Oneworld Airlines (both domestic & international), Terminal 1 is mainly for SAS, Lufthansa, & other Star Alliance Airlines (both domestic & international). Check your Terminal. They are linked by an internal corridor and are 5 mins apart. Both terminals have bus stops outside, but the one outside the Intl terminal is much larger.
Driving directions: Take the Keha III airport road from the north side of the E-18/50 Helsinki ring road or from the 45 Tuusula-Helsinki road before reaching the E-18/50.

| Train serving the Airport: | The train connection between Helsinki city centre and Helsinki Airport was opened in July 2015. The entrance to the train station is in the corridor between the terminals. The trainline is in a loop, with I (the letter i) trains going to Helsinki Central one way around the loop, and P trains going around the other way. The time to the city is around 30 mins. | Airport Taxi: | The similarly named, but totally different Airport Taxi has a desk in both terminals. Taxi pooling is available to the city centre. | Finnair bus to the city centre: | Runs to the city centre (Finnair City Terminal near Railway Station, Elielinaukio, platform 30). Route: The bus stops en-route behind the Scandic Continental & Crowne Plaza Hotels (Töölönkatu 21), and there are several request stops on the way to the city: Tuusulantie: Oulunkylä, Käpylä, Mäkelänkatu: Pohjolankatu, Koskelantie, Velodromi, Elimäenkatu, Ensi-Kodin tie, Sturenkatu: Ammattikoulu (Trade school), Terveysasema (Health center), Linnanmäki Amusement Park, Helsinginkatu: The Opera house. Timings: Buses leave the airport at 0545, then every ~20 mins from 0620-0040 & 0110. From the city, the first departure is at 0500, and the last at midnight. Departs from behind the Scandic Continental Hotel: 0505 then every 20 mins until 1935, 2005, 2035, 2105, 2125, 2145, 2205, 2225, 2305, 2325, 2345 & 0005. The bus calls at both the domestic & international terminals. Cost: €5.90 Adult one way. Credit cards, US Dollars, British Pounds & other Scandinavian currencies are accepted. If you have already purchased a Helsinki Card (Adults €34 for one day), the fare is only €3.80. It is a Regional Ticket which allows the user a timed usage of a connection to a tram once in the City Center. Travel Time: 25-40 mins. |

| Airport Hotels Shuttle: | service to hotels near the airport is free. Hotels served include: Cumulus, Holiday Inn Helsinki & Ramada. Buses leave the airport for these hotels 0510-0110 every 15-30 mins during the week. At weekends, there is no lunchtime service. Airport Hotel Bonus Inn & Comfort Hotel Pilotti have a sepaate bus.. |
| Helsinki Card: | The Helsinki Card is a card that covers travel on public transport within Helsinki. Airport transfers are not free with this card, but holders are entitled to a 30% discount. For adults, a 1-day card costs €25 and €10 for children. |

Transfer between terminals: The Intl & domestic terminals are only 200m apart and connected by a covered walkway.
Airport Hotels: Hilton Helsinki Vantaa Airport, Tel +358 973 220, is a few mins from the Intl arrivals area. Ramada Hotel Airport, Cumulus Airport Hotel & Holiday Inn garden Court.
Baggage Storage: Left luggage lockers are at the northern end or the domestic terminal. Small bags can be stored at the airport information desk in the Intl terminals arrivals area for €5 per day.

Helsinki - Malmi (HEM):
Location: 11 km/7 Miles NE of the City.
By Taxi: To the city ~€15. Taksi Helsinki Tel 010 00 700.
By Bus: Bus line 75 stop is 200m from the terminal and runs to the Railway station. €2/~20 mins. Bus#77A runs to Malmi Railway station (2 km away). Trains from there run to the city.

Helsinki Heliport:
Location: In the dock area 2 km/1 Mile S of the city centre. Address is Hernesaari, Hernematalankatu 2, 00150 Helsinki.
By Taxi: To Central Helsinki 5 mins.
Notes: This Heliport is used by Copterline for flights to Talinn. However, in October 2006, flights had been completely suspended, and there is some doubt whether they will resume.
