Guangzhou 广州 - Baiyun 白云 (CAN): Location: 31 km/19 Miles NNE of the city centre. By Taxi: To Guangzhou City CNY 120+/30-60 mins depending on traffic. To Zhongshan ~CNY 300. Beware of aggresive taxi touts. Insist that the meter to be used or call the police. Many scams are reported to be in operation. By Limo: Many hotels offer a limousine service from the airport for ~CNY 130. These can be booked when you book your hotel room, or from the hotel booking desk in arrivals.

Shantou 汕頭 (SWA): Location: 12 km/8 Miles NNE of Shantou. By Taxi: Available. By Bus: Some large hotels in the city provide shuttle buses. Updated Aug05 www. [back].[top]

Shenzhen 深圳 - Baoan Intl (SZX): Location: 32 km/10 Miles W of Shenzhen city centre. Airport Overview: 2 terminals, A & B, a very short distance apart (~200m), and easily walkable. Terminal A is mostly for domestic flights. Airlines in Terminal A: China Southern (CZ), Sichuan Airlines (3U), Shanghai Airlines (FM), Xiamen Airlines (MF) & Hainan Airlines (HU). Terminal B is divided into domestic and international sides. Airlines in terminal B are Shenzhen Airlines (ZH), China Eastern (MU), Air China (CA) and Shan Dong Airlines (SC). Terminal B is also for all intl flights, including Hong Kong, Macau & Taiwan. Helicopter flights to Hong Kong and Macau depart from terminal B. Arrivals are on the lower level of each terminal, with departures on the upper level. Buses depart from the lower level of each terminal. Fu Yong ferry terminal is close to the airport with services to Hong Kong & Macau.

By Helicopter:
Regular helicopter services run from the heliport in terminal B to Macau Heliport. Flights are operated by HeliExpress. Contact: Tel Hong Kong +852 2108 9898, Macau +853 2872 7288 & Shenzhen +86 755 2777 8333.
To Macau:	Timings: 5 flights per day, at 1145, 1345, 1515, 1715 & 2030. Flights leave Macau at 0945, 1315, 1445, 1645 & 1945. Flight time to Macau 15 mins (day), 25 mins (night). Cost: HKD/MOP 1990 (day flights), HKD/MOP 2300 (night flight).

By Taxi:
Taxis wait outside arrivals and use meters. It may help to have your address written in Chinese as not all drivers speak English. Note: Heavy traffic can result in long transfer times. Shenzhen taxi drivers are notorious for trying to rip off their passengers, so make sure your driver uses the meter. Taxi touts wait outide discreetly.
Taxi Types:	There are 3 kinds of tazxis in Shenzhen: Red Taxis can operate long-distance, Yellow taxis can only operate in the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone, and Green Taxis can only operate outside the Shenzhen Special Economic Zone.
Taxi Meters:	Starting Price (first 3 km) CNY 12.50 (CNY 16 at night 2300-0600). CNY 0.60 for every 250m and CNY 0.80 for each minute waiting.
Costs :	To Shenzhen City ~CNY 700/30 mins.

By Local Bus:
Local buses stop outside each terminal on the lower level. Cost: Local buses to Shenzhen cost CNY 2.
Airport Express Bus to Shenzhen:	Route: Shenzhen Airport - Shenzhen Train station. Note: Operated by Shenzhen Airlines. Contact: Tel 95080 or www.shenzhenair.com.
Local Bus 327 to Futian:	Route: Shenzhen Airport - Futian bus stop - Shui Shang Le Yuan. Timings: Buses leave Shenzhen Airport daily 0730-2200.
Local Bus 355 to Shekou & Chiwan Ports:	Route: Shenzhen Airport - Bao An Town - Nantou - Nanyou - Shekou town - Shekou Ferry terminal - Chiwan Port. Timings: Buses leave Shenzhen Airport daily 0630-2230.
Local Bus 602 to Bao An:	Route: Shenzhen Airport - Bao An Town. Timings: Buses leave Shenzhen Airport daily 0630-2230.
Local Bus K568 to Shenzhen Railway Station:	Route: Shenzhen Airport - ShenZhenDaXue/Shenzhen University - XiaSha - LianHeGuangChang/LianHe Plaza - Shenzhen Railway Station. Timings: Buses leave Shenzhen Airport daily 0800-2330.

By Long Distance Coach:
City Express Shuttle Buses run to various parts of Guangdong province. There are booking desks on the lower level of each terminal.
To Zhuhai & Macau:	Route: Shenzhen Airport - Zhuhai - Macau. Timings: Buses leave Shenzhen Airport daily at 0810, 0910, 1010, 1200, 1220, 1320, 1400, 1420, 1550, 1600, 1650, 1750, 1800, 1940 & 2020. Travel Time: ~2 hrs. Cost: To Zhuhai CNY 90. Macau CNY 100.
To Dongguan:	Route: Shenzhen Airport - Airplane Waiting Building of Dongguan City. Timings: Buses leave Shenzhen Airport daily every 50 mins 0720-2000. Travel Time: ~1 hr. Cost: CNY 40.
To Huizhou:	Route: Shenzhen Airport - Longhaua airplane waiting building - Huizhou Bus Station. Timings: Buses leave Shenzhen Airport daily every 50 mins 0710-2040. Travel Time: ~1 hr 30 mins. Cost: To Huizhou CNY 60. Longhua CNY 20.
To Huidong:	Route: Shenzhen Airport - Longhaua - Danshui - Huidong Bus Station. Timings: Buses leave Shenzhen Airport daily every hour 0710-1910. Travel Time: ~2 hrs. Cost: CNY 15.
To Zhangmutou:	Route: Shenzhen Airport - Songgang - Gongming - Huangjiang - ZhangMuTou Bus Station. Timings: Buses leave Shenzhen Airport daily every hour 0800-1500. Travel Time: ~2 hrs. Cost: To Huidong CNY 55. Danshui CNY 45. Longhua CNY 20.

By Cross Border Coach:
Trans-Island China Link operates cross-border buses to Hong Kong. They have are booking desks on the lower level of each terminal. They operate 3 routes:
To HK Intl Airport:	Route: Non-stop to Hong Kong Airport. These services are only for passengers already ticketed on flights from HK airport, and cannot be used to enter Hong Kong city. Timings: Buses leave Shenzhen Airport every 20 mins 0820-2120. Buses leave HK airport at 0945, 1030, 1115, 1145, 1215, 1245, 1315, 1345, 1430, 1515, 1545, 1615, 1645, 1730, 1815 & 1900. Cost: Adult CNY 200/HK$180. Child (3-5 years)/Senior (65+) CNY 110/HK$100.
To Kowloon & HK Island:	Route: Shenzhen Airport - Huang Gang Border Crossing - Kam Sheung Rd - Prince Edward (Kowloon) - Wanchai (HK Island). Timings: Buses leave Shenzhen Airport every 20 mins 0820-2330. Buses leave Prince Edward every 20 mins 0530-2020. Buses leave Wanchai every 20 mins 0700-1900. To HK Disneyland:	Route: Non-stop to Hong Kong Disneyland. Timings: Buses leave Shenzhen Airport every 20 mins 0820-1100. Cost: Adult & Child CNY 160/HK$150.

By Ferry:
Fu Yong Ferry Terminal:	Fu Yong ferry terminal is about 3 km/2 Miles from the airport terminals and is connected to them by a free shuttle bus, running every 30 mins (on the hour and half hour) and taking 10 mins to get to the airport. To find the shuttle, exit the ferry terminal and turn right. Buses leave the airport at 15 and 45 mins past each hour. Shuttle buses also run from Fu Yong to Shenzhen city. Taxis wait outside the ferry terminal. The ferry terminal has very limited facilities, but there is an ATM/Cash machine.
Chinese Visas:	Chinese visas are available on arrival at Fu Yong ferry terminal until ~1630, for passengers coming from Hong Kong or Macau. Costs depend on nationality: UK Citizen HK$700/US$100. Brazilian national HKD 800 etc.
Turbojet Services:	Turbojet run Rapid boat services to Macau, the Hong Kong China Ferry terminal in Kowloon, the Hong Kong Island ferry terminal & to HK airport. Contact: Tel HK +852 2859 3333, 3602 0220 or www.turbojetbooking.com.
To Kowloon:	Ferries run to Kowloon China Ferry Terminal in Tsim Sha Tsui. Timings: Ferries leave Fu Yong Ferry Terminal daily at 1630. Ferries leave Kowloon China Ferry terminal daily at 0845. Travel Time: Ferry transfer takes ~60 mins. Cost: Economy: HK$200, Super Class $300.
To Hong Kong Island:	Ferries run to Hong Kong Island (Macau Ferry Terminal). Timings: Ferries leave Fu Yong Ferry Terminal daily at 0900, 1100 (Mon-Fri only), 1150, 1430, 1750 & 1930. Ferries leave Hong Kong daily at 0730, 0800, 0945 (Mon-Fri only), 1300, 1430, 1615 & 1800. Travel Time: Ferry transfer takes ~60 mins. Cost: Economy: HK$200, Super Class $300.
To Macau:	Ferries run to Macau Ferry Terminal. Timings: Ferries leave Fu Yong Ferry Terminal daily at 1030 (Sat & Sun only), 1330 & 1725. Ferries leave Macau daily at 0945, 1045 (Sat & Sun only), 1230 & 1900. Cost: Economy: HK$171, Super Class $271.
To Hong Kong Airport:	Ferries run to Hong Kong Intl Airport, but these services are only for passengers already ticketed on flights from HK airport, and cannot be used to enter Hong Kong city. Timings: Ferries leave Fu Yong Ferry Terminal daily at 0815, 0930, 1030 (Mon-Fri only), 1130, 1250, 1405, 1515, 1600, 1830 & 2030. Ferries leave HK airport daily at 1015, 1130, 1215, 1405, 1500, 1615, 1715 & 1950. Travel Time: Ferry transfer takes ~45 mins. Cost: Adult: Economy: HK$250-270, Super Class $350-370. Child (2-12 years): Economy: HK$195-210, Super Class $270-285. Child (under 2 years): Economy: HK$135-145, Super Class $185-195.

By Train: Shenzhen has a Metro train system, but it does not run as far as the airport. Local buses run to Metro stations from outside the airport terminals. 'Window of the World' is the closest station to the airport. Metro tickets cost CNY 2. Rental Cars: There are no rental car desks at the airport, but the following companies can be contacted by phone: Sancheng Car-renting +86 755 8606 5679 & Heng'An Car-renting +86 755 8334 4411. Car Parking: Car Parks are right in front of each terminal. Baggage Storage: There is a left luggage counter on the upper level of terminal A, near the bridge to terminal B. Tel 0755 2777 7066.
