Accra - Kotoka (ACC):
Location: 10 km/6 Miles NE of the City.
By Taxi: To the city, you may be charged up to 60 000 Cedis, however for the trip from the city to the airport, 25 000 Cedis/US$7 is more normal. Traffic can be terrible in the afternoon. Takes 25-55 mins. Expect much haggling to reach a realistic fare. Taxis readily available.

By Bus: Minibuses and shared taxis do run into the city, however don't even think of trying to figure out the bus serivce when arriving after dark!
Rental Cars:
On-Airport Rental Car Providers: A number of local companies offer cars from booths outside the terminal. AVIS  +233 (0)21 761 751 & EUROPCAR (021) 664020 also operate here, but provide chauffeur-driven cars only, rather than self drive.

Car Parking: US$0.50 per time. At the moment, parking spaces are in short supply, but more spaces will become available once the airport redevelopments are complete.
Notes: ATM/cash machine in arrivals. Important: On departure, international passengers should clear customs before checking in. Allow plenty of time and try to arrive at the airport 3 hrs before departure.
Airport Tax: Intl departure tax is US$50, Domestic dep tax GHC 1000.
Airport Hotels: The Golden Tulip Hotel, +233 (0)21 775 360, is only 5-10 mins drive from the airport and offers free transfers for guests. The Shangri-La Hotel is 5 minutes taxi ride away and makes an ideal place to have a drink before departure.
