Public service bus stops are at stand 18 on the terminal forecourt road outside the UK arrivals hall. Other buses stop at the East end of the arrivals area from the bus shelters. Timetables are available from the travel desk in the UK arrivals hall and the information desk in the intl arrivals area.
Airlink 100 Bus & 100 Express (100X) to the city centre: Route: Airport - Maybury (For Marriot Hotel 5 mins) - Drum Brae - Edinburgh Zoo - Murrayfield (Rugby Stadium) - Haymarket (for trains) - West End, Princes St (at Frederick St) - Waverley Bridge, near to the main railway station and bus station.

Cost: £3 single, £5 return (children £2 single, £3 return). Tickets can be brought from a travel desk in the UK arrivals hall, the airport info desk in the Intl arrivals hall, or on the bus. The bus departs from outside the arrivals area and NOT from the bus stops further down. Lothian Bus #35 to city centre & Ocean Terminal: Lothian Bus service 35 goes from the Airport to the city centre (via a bit of a tortuous route, taking almost an hour) and then on to the Ocean Terminal. For a quicker journey, change at the Gyle Centre (after 10 mins) for the #12 straight down Corstorphine road to Princes St, saving 20 mins.
Route: Airport - Ingliston Park & Ride - Gogarburn RBS, Gyle Centre - Edinburgh Park at Redheughs - Sighthill Colleges - Slateford train Station - Fountainbridge - Forrest Rd - Holyrood Scottish Parliament - Bernard St - Ocean Terminal. Timetable for Bus 35: www.lothianbuses.co.uk.

Cost: A single ticket is only £1 any distance on Lothian Buses but I don't think you can change buses with this option. Day rovers are valid, £2.30, pay the driver - exact change only. Note: The Airlink 100 Buses are still £5 return, £3 single, so this new bus is good news if you're travelling on by bus in the city!
