Dublin (DUB):
Location: 10 km/6 Miles N of the City.
Airport Overview: One large terminal with departures on the upper level and arrivals on the lower. There are several bus stops outside arrivals. Terminal D is now under construction. Area 14 has now opened: It is a basement check-in area in Terminal 1 and is used for Aer Lingus flights to the UK & Germany.
Driving Directions: The airport is easy to access from the M50 or M1/N1. Coming from the South or West - Most major national roads (N81, N7, N4, N3, N2) lead to the M50 ring road. Head north on the M50 to the north M1 exit and stay in the left lane. The airport roundabout is the first traffic light you will reach. Just follow the signpost directions to long-term parking, short-term parking, or departures. Coming from the North - The N1/M1 heading south will take you directly to the airport roundabout. Just follow the signpost directions. Coming from the East - Heading north on the N1/M1 will take you directly to the airport roundabout. Just follow the signpost directions. ◊Note: The Dublin Port Tunnel is now open for cars. The tunnel runs from Dublin Port (1km east of city centre) to the M1 Motorway about 0.5 km from the M50 junction northbound, and is a very quick way to reach the airport if the city traffic is bad. It would normally take 45-55 mins to reach the airport from the city centre using surface roads during busy traffic periods, but using the tunnel can reduce journey time to 10-15 min. Cars using the tunnel pay a toll ranging from €3 - 12, depending the time of day, but if you need to get to the airport in a hurry to make a flight, it is well worth paying.

By Taxi:
Regular Taxis: Taxis leave from just outside arrivals and turn right. Average Fares: to/from the City Centre €20-25/20-45 mins, Heuston Station €21, Connolly station €18, Malahide €18, Swords €14 & Rush €27. There are extra charges for extra passengers (€0.50 each), luggage (€0.50 per piece), animals (€0.50 other than guide dog), time of day, Sundays, and public holidays. Details are also available at the taxi rank at the airport. Fares for trips outside the city should be agreed before departing.
