Chicago - Midway (MDW):
Location: 16 km/10 Miles SSW of the City Centre.
Airport Overview: One terminal on three levels: Lowest/ground level is for baggage claim and shuttles/taxis; middle level leads to short term car parks and the CTA subway train; upper level is for check-in and departures. There is a subway train station close by, with a bus station that has local services.

General:	Taxis wait outside the baggage reclaim area on the ground level.
Taxi Meters:	Initial charge $2.25, then $1.80 for each extra mile. For the first passenger between the age of 12-65 $1. Each extra passenger $0.50. No extra charge for baggage or for the use of credit cards. $1 surcharge for trips to or from the airport.
Approximate Costs:	To the city centre/downtown area, including the Loop, Michigan Ave, Gold Coast & River North: $22-28/20-40 mins depending on traffic. To McCormick Place $23-27. To O' Hare Airport $58-62.

By Bus & Coach from the Airport Lower Level:
Bus stops:	There are 2 areas at the airport where buses stop. The local bus services stop at the bus station next to the CTA subway station (follow signs for 'Train to City CTA'). Longer distance coaches stop on the ground level outside baggage reclaim.
CoachUSA to Michigan City, IN:	Route: Chicago O'Hare Airport Terminal 5 - Chicago O'Hare Airport (Shuttle Bus Center) - Chicago Midway Airport - Crestwood (5545 West 127th) - Highland (8144 Indianapolis) - Michigan City, IN (Holiday Inn) - Portage, IN (central & Irving).
	Timings: Buses leave Midway airport daily every hour 0615-2115 & 2315. Buses leave Michigan City Holiday Inn daily every hour 0420-1820. Travel Times: To Crestwood 35 mins, Highland 1:05, Portage 1:25 & Michigan City 1:55. Note: Buses do not make all stops, and passengers may need to change buses.

CoachUSA/Van Galder Bus to Rockford:	Route: Chicago Midway Airport - Amtrak Station (Jackson & Canal) - Clock Tower Resort (E State & I-90) - Rockford Bus Terminal (7559 Walton St).
	Timings: Buses leave Midway airport daily at 0630 (does not call at Amtrak), 1200, 1330, 1600, 1700, 1815, 2000 & 2145. Buses leave Rockford Bus Terminal daily at 0410, 0850, 1020, 1150, 1320, 1450, 1620 & 1820. Travel Times: To Amtrak Station 1 hour, Clock Tower Resort 2 hrs, Rockford 2:10.

Peoria Charter Coach to Joliet, Normal & Peoria:	Route: Midway Airport - Joliet (Louis Joliet Mall) - Pontiac (BP Station I-55 & Route 116) - Normal (Illinois State University) - Peoria (Bradley University).
	Timings: The direct bus leaves the airport lower level daily at 2130. Buses requiring a transfer at Joliet also leave Midway airport at 1025, 1510, 1910 & 2130. Buses leave Bradley University daily at 0400. Further buses requiring a transfer at Joliet leave at 0600, 1030, 1420 & 1750. Travel Times: To Bradley Uni direct 3 hrs, transferring at Joliet 3:30.

LEX Express to the Chicago Suburbs:	Route: Northbrook Mall - Woodfield Mall - O'Hare Airport (T5 and Bus/Shuttle center) - Midway Airport (outside baggage claim) - Oakbrook Mall - Crestwood, IL (CoachUSA terminal). By Bus from the Airport Subway Station
Bus stops:	There are 2 areas at the airport where buses stop. The local bus services stop at the bus station next to the CTA subway station (follow signs for 'Train to City CTA'). Longer distance coaches stop on the ground level outside baggage reclaim.
Bus Costs:	$2.50 peak period and off-peak period if paid cash. $2 if paid by CTA card.
CTA Bus 47 to 47th St:	Route: Runs East to 47/Lake Park. Timings: Mon-Fri 0400-0100. Saturdays 0400-0100. Sundays 0400-0100.
CTA Bus 54B to South Cicero:	Route: Runs to South Cicero and Cermak/Kenton. Timings: Runs Mon-Sat early morning to late evening. Sundays & Holidays morning to late evening.
CTA Bus 55 to Garfield:	Route: Runs east along 55th St to the Museum of Science & Industry on Hyde Park Blvd. Timings: Runs daily every 6-20 mins from early morning to early evening.
CTA Bus 59 to 59th/61st:	Route: Runs along 59th St to Stony Island/60th. Timings: Runs Mon-Sat early morning to early evening.
CTA Bus 62 & N62 to Downtown Chicago:	Route: Archer/Harlem - Airport Subway Station - Downtown Chicago (Dearborn/Kinzie). Timings: Runs every 10-20 mins from early morning to late evening. CTA Bus N62 is the overnight owl service runs from the airport to downtown every 30 mins.
CTA Bus 63 to 63rd:	Route: Runs West along Cicero & 63rd St to Archer or east along 63rd to Stony Island. June-August, the bus continues to 63rd St Beach. Timings: Runs Mon-Sat morning to late evening. Sundays & Holidays early morning to mid evening.
Other buses:	Other buses include: Bus 379 to W 79th St, Bus 382 to Central/Clearing, Bus 383 to South Cicero, Bus 384 to Narrangansett-Ridgeland, Bus 385 to 87th/111th/127th, Bus 386 to South Harlem & Bus 831 to Joiliet.

By Shuttle Van:

GO Airport Express:	Routes: Runs door to door shuttles from Midway Airport to Downtown Chicago, McCormick Place, Lincoln Park & Suburbs. Shuttles pick up outside door #3. For a full list of suburbs served, see the website.
	Timings: Departures from the airport are every 10-15 mins 0600-2230. Reservations are NOT needed for travel FROM the airport. Departures from Chicago city center hotels are available every 30 mins. Reservations ARE needed for travel TO the airport. Reservation possible by phone or online.
	Cost: To downtown Chicago $23 adult one way, round trip $40. 2 people travelling together to the same destination: adult one way $16 each. round trip $28 each. 3 people travelling together to the same destination: adult one way $13 each. round trip $23 each. To Lincoln Park $30 adult one way, round trip $54. 2 people travelling together to the same destination: adult one way $22 each, round trip $40 each. 3 people travelling: adult one way $17 each, round trip $31 each. Credit cards accepted.

By Train:
CTA Orange Line Subway Train to Chicago:	The train station is connected to the terminal by a covered walkway which runs through a car park. Go up one level from the baggage claim area (or one level down from the check-in level) and follow the signs which are clearly marked 'Train to City CTA'. 5-10 minute walk to the station.
	Route: Runs to points all over the City. CTA Train Map. Orange Line Route: Midway Airport - Pulaski - Kedzie - Western - 35/Archer - Ashland - Halsted - Roosevelt - then the train runs round the loop (a ring of stations at the city centre), routing - Library - La Salle - Quincy - Washington - Clark - State - Randolph - Madison - Adams - then returning to the airport via Roosevelt etc. Transfers are possible at various stations in the loop, to other subway train lines.
	Timings To the City: Trains leave the airport Mon-Fri at 0355, 0415, 0435, 0455, then every 7-20 mins until 0055. Saturdays every 10-20 mins 0435-0051. Sundays every 10-20 mins 0535-0031.
	Timings From the City: Trains leave the city centre/loop Mon-Fri at 0427, 0447, 0507, then every 7-15 mins until 0002. Additionally on Tue-Fri mornings, trains run until 0127. Saturdays every 10-20 mins 0507-0127. Sundays & Holidays every 10-20 mins 0535-2331.
	Travel Times: To the loop/city center 25-30 mins.
	Cost: $2 per journey. CTA travel cards are bought from machines in the station, and charged with money of any required amount. No change is given from these machines. Each time you use the train, value is deducted from the card. All day passes are also available.

Car Parking:
Hourly Parking:	Short term car parking, known as the terminal garage, is within easy walk. Hourly parking is available on floor 1. Cost: Up to 30 mins $2, 1 hour $4, 2 hrs $6, each extra hour $2, 6 hrs $14, 7 hrs $17, each extra hour $2. Daily max $51.
Daily Parking:	Short term car parking, known as the terminal garage, is within easy walk. Daily parking is available on floors 4, 5 & 6. Cost: Up to 30 mins $2, 1 hour $4, 2 hrs $6, 3 hrs $8, 4 hrs $10, 4-8 hrs $13, 8-12 hrs $18, 12-16 hrs $23 & 16-24 hrs $29.
Economy Parking:	Free, 24 hour shuttle buses run every 15 mins from outside the baggage reclaim area on the ground level to all economy parking lots (Red, Yellow and Blue) every 15 mins. Cost: Up to 10 mins free, 1 hour $2, 2 hrs $5, 24 hrs $14. Each extra day $14.
Cellphone Parking:	Midway airport now has a cell-phone parking lot. The idea is that when meeting arriving passengers, you can wait in this designated area free of chage, until your arriving passenger calls to say they are ready for pick-up. Vehicles must be attended at all times. It is open 0600-0130 daily. It is at 61st St/Cicero Ave, just 4 mins drive from the terminal.

Airport to Airport:
To O'Hare Airport:	By Taxi: $58-62/40-80 mins.
	Omega Airport Shuttle runs hourly services between O'Hare (Termoinal 5 & Shuttle bus center) & Midway Airports. Timings: Shuttles leave Midway airport every hour 0700-2200. Travel Time: To O'Hare Airport 50 mins or more depending on traffic. Latest timings are available in printed schedules from the info booths on the lower level of the terminal or on the Omega Web site. Pick-up is at bus/shuttle center door number 4. Cost: The one-way fare is $17. Contact: (773) 734 6688.
	CTA Orange line train runs every 5-15 mins, then change to the blue line for Chicago O'Hare. Cost: $2 or 3.

Money Services: ATMs/Cash machines available in the baggage reclaim area on the ground level.
Notes: Baggage carts are available for rent at $4 each. Wireless internet available, but at a cost. Hotel & Taxi booking boards are in the baggage claim area.
