Buenos Aires - Aeroparque Jorge Newbery (AEP):
Location: 3 km/2 Miles N of the City Centre.
Airport Overview:
One long terminal with a service road and a main road at the front. Manuel Tienda Leon buses depart from the service road and public buses from bus shelters on the main road.


By Taxi:
Typical Costs: To the City Centre (Retiro Train station) ARS 25/10-20 mins depending on traffic. To San Telmo area ~ARS 37/15-25 mins. Expect delays between 1800-2100.
Transfer Express: Transfer Express run remises (private cars) to various destinations around the city. They have a desk in arrivals next to Hertz. Cost: To the city centre ARS 57,  Palermo ARS 54-57, Belgrano ARS 54-57, Tigre ARS 123, Flores ARS 81, Quilmes ARS 135. To Ezeiza airport ARS 170. Road tolls are extra.

By Manuel Tienda Leon Bus:
Manuel Tienda Leon Bus: Buses run to the Manuel Tienda Leon terminal (Terminal Madero at 1299 Avenida Madero) at the back of the Sheraton Hotel at Plaza San Martin (near Retiro train station). Transfer is possible there to Ezeiza Intl Airport. There is a MTL desk in the international arrivals area. Buses leave the airport every 30 mins 0830-2000 then at 2100 & 2145. Buses leave the Terminal Madero every 30 mins 0640-2140 then at 2225, 2310, 2355, 0040 & 0125. MTL also offers a connecting service, whereby passengers are bussed to Terminal Madero and are then transferred to vans to go directly to hotels.
Timings: Buses leave the airport every 60 mins 0900-2000, 2130 & 2330, arriving at Terminal Madero 20-30 mins later. Buses leave Terminal Madero heading for Aeroparque every 60 mins 0145-0545, 0720, 0830, then every hour until 1230, 1315, then every hour until 1715, 1830, then every hour until 2230, 2315, 0000 & 0045. Travel Time: To Terminal Madero 10-30 mins.
Cost: ARS 17 for the scheduled bus service. Note: If there are 2 or more in your party, it is cheaper to take a taxi to the city centre than this bus! Contact: Tel 0810 888 5366, 4314 3636 or 4315 5115. www.tiendaleon.com.ar.
Warning: There is a left luggage/baggabe storage facility at the Terminal Madero. A traveller in March 2008 reports items being stolen when left here.

By Other Public Buses:
General: Public buses at this airport stop on the main road beyond the airport access road. For buses going into the city stay on the same side of the main road. For buses going away from the city you have to cross the main road.
Bus #33: From just outside the airport, on Avda Costanera Rafael Obligado, city bus #33 runs on the route: Ciudad Universitaria - Av. Cost. R. Obligado - Airport - Pto. Nuevo/Retiro (for the bus and train stations)  - L.N.Alem/P.Colon - Ramal/Dock Sur - Puerto Madero - Nuñez/Ing Huergo - Suarez/H.Cortéz - Ramal/Barracas - Lamadrid/California - Puente Pueyrredón - Av. Pte. B.Mitre - Cnel.Magán/Agüero - M Madariaga - C Cementerio - C.Urugayo/Cnel Burelas. Cost: ARS 2 (coins only).
Bus #45: From just outside the airport, on Avda Costanera Rafael Obligado, city bus #45 runs on the route: Ciudad Universitaria - Airport - Av.Cost.R.Obligado - Pto.Nuevo/Retiro (for bus & train stations) - L.N.Alem - Reconquista - Maipú/Chacabuco - Plaza Constitución - Caseros/Barracas - Hosp G Rawson - Instituto Nacional Salud Mental - O.Cruz/V.Sarsfield - Pte.Victorino de la Plaza - F.Pienovi/Ecuador - B.Rivadavia/H.Irigoyen - Est.Lanús. Cost: ARS 2 (coins only).
Bus #160: From just outside the airport, on Avda Costanera Rafael Obligado, city bus #160 runs on the route: Ciudad Universitaria - Av Figueroa Alcorta - Pacifico/Plaza Italia - Las Heras/S Ortiz - Paraguay/Medrano - Venezuela/Boedo - C Barros/Av Sáenz - Aeronautical Hospital - Puente Uriburu - V Alsina/Humaitá - Viamonte/Moreno - Avenida H Irigoyen - Ruta Nacional 210 - Alsina/San Martín - Est Claypole. Cost: ARS 2 (coins only).
To get to the airport from town take buses #33, 37 (make sure it says Ciudad Universitaria) 45 or 160.  Cost: ~US$0.75.

Car Parking: There are 2 car parks at the airport, Estacionamiento Norte (to the North end of the terminal, open air parking) and Estacionamiento Sur (to the South end of the terminal, covered parking). Cost: Cars ARS 13 per hour or ARS 52 per day. After the first hour, the hourly rate is divided into 30 minute blocks and charged accordingly.
Airport Tax:
Departure Tax: To destinations greater than 300 km US$18/60 Pesos. For less than 300 km US$8.  Can be paid in US Dollars, Pesos or Debit Cards. Not payable if departing internationally the same day. This tax is now usually included in the ticket price.
Money Services: ATMs/Cash Machines in International departures.
Airport Hotels: None at the airport, but because the airport is so close to the city centre, there are many hotels nearby.

Buenos Aires - Ezeiza Intl (EZE):
Location: 35 km/21 Miles S of the City.
Airport Overview:
3 terminals, A, B & C: Terminal B is for Aerolineas Argentinas & LAN Argentina (domestic arrivals) only. Terminal C is behind Terminal B and is for LAN Argentina & Austral domestic flights. Terminal A is for all other airlines and for LAN Argentina domestic departures. The 3 terminals are close together and linked by a covered walkway. You can walk between terminal in around 3-5 mins.

Terminal A: Aeromexico, Aerosur, Air Canada, Air France, Alitalia, American Airlines, Avianca, British Airways, Continental, Copa, Delta, GOL, Iberia, LAN, LAN Argentina domestic departures, Lufthansa, Malaysian, QANTAS, Qatar, South African, Taca, TAM & United.
Terminal B: Aerolineas Argentinas Intl departures and arrivals & LAN Argentina domestic arrivals.
Terminal C: Aerolineas Argentinas & Austral domestic departures & arrivals.

By Road: The Autopista to the airport has 2 toll booths with total tolls of at least ARS 2.70 payable.
By Taxi:
Taxi Ezeiza: Taxi Ezeiza has a desk as you exit customs in Terminal A arrivals area and outside Terminal B, where you pre-pay the trip and receive a voucher to give to the driver. Cost: To the City Centre ARS 150/US$ 38, Ramos Mejia ARS 126, Liniers ARS 140, Martinez ARS 174 & Adrogue ARS 126.. From the city to the airport ~ARS 130. See the website at www.taxiezeiza.com.ar. Travel Time: To the city centre 35-45 mins.
Manuel Tienda Leon: Runs Remises (private cars) to the city in addition to its buses (see below). Cost: To the city centre ARS 186 one way (ARS 364 return). To Aeroparque Jorge Newberry ARS 179.
Transfer Express: Run remises (private cars) to various destinations around the city. They have a desk in Terminal A arrivals. Cost: To the city centre ARS 138. To Aeroparque Jorge Newberry ARS 170.
VIPS Cars: Run remises (private cars) to various destinations around the city. They have a desk in Terminal A arrivals. Cost: To the city centre ARS 160 + tolls.
World Car: Run remises (private cars) to various destinations around the city. They have a desk in Terminal A arrivals. Cost: To the city centre ARS 130 + tolls. Contact: Tel +54 011 5480 1215.

By Manuel Tienda Leon Bus:
Manuel Tienda Leon Bus to Buenos Aires: Manuel Tienda Leon run a bus to their city centre terminal (Terminal Madero at 1299 Avenida Madero) at the back of the Sheraton Hotel at Plaza San Martin (near Retiro train station).  Some buses then continue to Aeroparque Newberry Airport (Short Haul Flights). MTL also offers a connecting service, whereby passengers are bussed to Terminal Madero and are then transferred to vans to go directly to hotels. There are Manual Tienda Leon offices just before you exit customs, and again in the arrivals public area.
Timings: Buses run from the airport every 30 mins 0600-2100, then at 2145, 2230, 2315, 0000 & 0100, then every hour until 0600. They arrive at the Terminal Madero 45 mins later and at Aeroparque Airport 75 mins after leaving Ezeiza. Buses depart Terminal Madero at 0400, 0500 and then every 30 mins until 2100, 2200, 2230 & 0000. They arrive at the airport 45 mins later.
Cost: ARS 45 per person to the Terminal Madero (ARS 85 return) and ARS 50 including transfer to hotels etc. ARS 50 to Aeropargue Jorge Newberry. Transfer Times: To Terminal Madero 34-50 mins. Contact: Tel 0810 888 5366, 4314 3636 or 4315 5115. www.tiendaleon.com.ar.

By Other Public Buses:
General: Public buses at Ezeiza Airport stop at the bus shelter in front of the Aeropuertos Argentina 2000 sign. Exit terminal B and turn left. There is no stop at Terminal A (5 min walk to the bus shelter from there). Buses stopping there include:
Bus #51: This bus stops just on the left of arrivals DECK B. It runs to Constitución Central Station, and the trip takes 1 hour. Check with the driver whether the bus goes to Constitucion, or terminates at Estación Lanus. If it does terminate there, catch the train onwards to Constitucion ($0.50/8 mins). At Constitucion you can take Bus 28, 9, 45, 59 or 100 to go to the city centre. Cost: It is safe and very cheap at ARS 2. (Coins only).
Bus #8 (slow): This bus was previously known as Bus #86. Runs ~every 45 mins between the airport and the city centre (Plaza de Mayo). Make sure that the bus says Ezeiza on the front since not all #8 buses go all the way to the airport. The bus starts in La Boca and goes along Avenida de Mayo past the Casa Rosada, Plaza del Congreso & the Mercado Central (Central Market). Route: Airport - Av Gral Paz - Av Rivadavia - Rosario/Venezuela - Muñiz/H Yrigoyen - P Colon/Bolivar - Chile/Paseo Colon - Brasil/P Mendoza - B P Galdos - W Villafañe - M Rodriquez - Brandsen - Hernandarias - Av del Valle - Irala y Pinzón. Cost: ARS 2. Travel Time: 90-120 mins. A traveller in May 2010 reported a travel time of 2 hrs.
Bus 394: Runs to Barrio 1 & Monte Grande. Cost: ARS 2.
Bus #518: Runs frequently to Ezeiza town. Cost: ARS 2.

By Train: There is no train service to the airport, however, there are many ways of getting to Retiro Station in central Buenos Aires.

Baggage Storage:
Left luggage is available in Terminal A and is run by Transbag.
Money Services: There are a few ATMs/Cash Machines in Terminal A and one in Terminal B, but there are frequently long lines to withdraw money. Some of the machines do not accept foreign cards.
Airport Hotels: None at the airport, and since the airport is so far from the city centre, this can be a problem. There are 2 guest houses not far from the airport, but when flights are cancelled, they soon fill up and guests are forced to travel back to the city.
