Boston - Logan (BOS):  Location5 km/3 Miles E of the city center.  Airport Overview: 4 terminals all fairly close together in a horseshoe configuration. Terminal E is the main International terminal. Buses connect the terminals, but it is possible to walk between some. Transfer between terminals: A free shuttle bus is operated by Massport to connect all the terminals and the Subway station. Airline Locations: Term A: Delta, Delta Connection, Delta Shuttle. Term B: Air Canada, American Airlines (except Intl arrivals), American Eagle, US Airways, Alaska Airlines, Spirit. Term C: Air Tran, Cape Air, Continental, Jet Blue (except Intl arrivals), United, Midwest. Term E: British Airways, American (Intl arrivals only), Aer Lingus, Air France, Alitalia, KLM, Northwest, flyGlobespan, Iberia, Jet Blue (Intl arrivals only), Lufthansa, SATA, Swiss, Virgin, Icelandair & Other Intl carriers & all Intl arrivals except Canada. Driving Directions: The airport is now connected directly to the I-90.


By Taxi:
Taxis wait outside the baggage reclaim area on the ground level.
Taxi Meters: Initial charge (first eigth of a mile) $2.25, then $0.30 for each extra eighth of a mile. Each hour waiting $24. No charge for hand baggage. For trips beyond 12 miles from Boston, flat rate of $2.60 per mile. Tolls: Trips from Logan airport via the Sumner or Ted Williams Tunnel or the Tobin Bridge $6.50. Trips to Logan airport via the Callhan or Ted Williams Tunnel $2.25. No fees or tolls apply on trips to East Boston.
Approximate Costs: To Boston city center $15-25/25-40 mins depending on traffic.

By Local Bus:
Buses stop at all of the terminals (lower level) in turn before proceeding to their destinations. The following bus services are available:
MBTA Silver Line Bus SL1 to Boston South Station: Local bus calls at all terminal and then runs under the tunnel to the city. Route: Airport (all terminals) - Convention Centre - World Trade Center - Courthouse - Boston South Station (for Amtrak Rail services and Subway System). Timings: Buses run Mon-Fri every 10-15 mins 0538-0045. Saturdays every 12 mins 0533-0045. Sundays 0550-0045. Cost: Cash: Adult $2. CharlieCard $1.70. Pay on board or use the pre-pay CharlieCard ticket machines in the terminal.
Airport Shuttle Buses (Free): These provide free transport around the airport complex. Route 11 links terminals A, B, C & E 0600-2300. Route 22 serves terminal A & B and the Subway (train) 0600-2300. Route 33 serves terminals C & E and the subway 0600-2300. Route 55 serves all terminals and the subway. Runs 2300-0100. Route 66 serves the terminals and the Logan Water Transportation Dock (see below) 0600-2300. Route 88 serves the terminals and the Economy Parking Lots 24 hrs a day.
Hotel Courtesy Buses: Hotel Courtesy buses pick up guests on the lower level of each terminal.

By Logan Express Bus:
Buses stop at all of the terminals (lower level) in turn before proceeding to their destinations. The Logan Express buses are operated by Massport Tel 1 800 23-LOGAN and serve 4 routes.
Braintree: Route: Runs between the Airport and Braintree (Off Route 37 on Forbes Rd, across from the South Shore Plaza). Timings: Weekdays: Buses leave the Airport 0630-0000 every 30 mins. Buses leave Braintree every 30 mins 0400-2300. Saturdays: Leaves the Airport 0700-2300 every 60 mins. Leaves Braintree at 0345, 0430, 0530, 0600 and then hourly until 2200. Sundays: Leaves the Airport every 60 mins 0700-1300, then every 30 mins to 0000. Leaves Braintree at 0400, 0430, 0530, 0600 and then every 60 mins to 1200, then every 30 mins to 2300. Cost: $12 one way, $22 return. Children under 12 free. Seniors get a $1 discount each way.
Framingham: Route: Runs between the Airport and Framingham (Off the Route 30 side of Shoppers' World on Burr St Extension). Timings: Weekdays: Buses leave the Airport every 30 mins 0630-0000. Leaves Framingham at 0400 and then every 30 mins to 2300. Saturdays: Leaves the Airport every 60 mins 0700-2300. Leaves Framingham at 0400, 0430, 0530, 0600 and then every 60 mins to 2200. Sundays: Leaves the Airport every 60 mins 0700-1300 and then every 30 mins to 0000. Leaves Framingham at 0400, 0430, 0530, 0600 and then every 60 mins to 1200, then every 30 mins to 2300. Cost: $12 one way, $22 return. Children under 12 free. Seniors get a $1 discount each way.
Peabody: Route: Runs between the Airport and Peabody (On Route 1 South at 164 Newbury St). Timings: Weekdays: Buses leave the Airport every hour 0615-0015. Leaves Peabody every hour 0415-2315. Saturdays: Leaves the Airport every hour 0615-2315. Leaves Peabody every hour 0415-2315. Sundays: Leaves the Airport every hour 0615-0015. Leaves Peabody every hour 0415-2315. Cost: $12 one way, $22 return. Children under 12 free. Seniors get a $1 discount each way.
Woburn: Route: Runs between the Airport and Woburn (Anderson Regional Transportation Center, Exit 37C N and S bound off Route 193). Timings: Weekdays: Buses leave the Airport every 30 mins 0630-0000. Leaves Woburn at 0330, 0400, then every 30 mins until 2300. Saturdays: Leaves the Airport 0700-2300 every 60 mins. Leaves Woburn at 0400, 0430, 0530, 0600 and then every 60 mins to 2200. Sundays: Leaves the Airport 0700-1300 every 60 mins and then every 30 mins to 0000. Leaves Woburn at 0400, 0430, 0530, 0600 and then every 60 mins to 1200, then every 30 mins to 2300. Cost: $12 one way, $22 return. Children under 12 free. Seniors get a $1 discount each way.

By Long Distance Bus:
Buses stop at all of the terminals (lower level) in turn before proceeding to their destinations. The following bus services are available:
Plymouth & Brockton Bus: Routes: buses operate from the airport to Southern Massachusetts & Cape Cod. Destinations served include Hanover, Kingston, Plymouth, Barnstable, Rockland, Sagamore, Hyannis Transportation Center, Harwich, Orleans, Eastham, North Eastham, South Wellfleet, Wellfleet, Truro Post Office, North Truro & Provincetown Chamber of Commerce (3 hr 45). Timings: Buses leave the airport Mon-Fri at 0645, 0745*, 0845*, 0945*, 1045*, 1115, 1145*, 1215*, 1245*, 1315*, 1345, 1415*, 1445*, 1545*, 1645*, 1745*, 1845*, 1945*, 2045*, 2145* & 2325*. Weekends: 0645, 0745*, 0845*, 0945*, 1045*, 1145, 1245*, 1315*, 1345, 1415*, 1445*, 1515*, 1545*, 1615*, 1645*, 1745, 1845* 1945*, 2045*, 2145* & 2325*. *Only runs as far as Hyannis Transportation Center. Peter Pan/Bonanza Bus Line: Runs buses to varios locations in S Massachusetts & Rhode Island. Buses leave from the terminal lower levels. Contact: (888) 751 8800
Route 2025: Logan Airport - Boston Copley Plaza - Boston South Station - Foxboro - Providence RI (Terminal, then Kennedy Plaza) - Providence Airport (not all buses). Timings: Buses leave Boston airport daily at 0730, 0930, then every hour until 1730, 1930, 2130 & 2330. Buses leave Providence airport daily at 0745, 1000, 1200, 1400, 1600 & 1855. Buses leave Providence Terminal daily at 0530, then every hour until 0930, 1130, then every hour until 1330, 1530, 1730, 1930 & 2130.
Route 2030: Logan Airport - Boston Copley Plaza - Boston South Station (45 mins) - Wareham (Mill Pond Diner) - Bourne (Tedeschi's) (1 hour 50) - Falmouth (2 hrs 10) - Woods Hole (Steamship Authority Pier) (2 hrs 05). This bus connects with the ferry to Martha's Vineyard. Timings: Buses leave the airport daily at 0800, 0915, 1015, 1115, 1315, 1515, 1715, 1915 & 2115.
Route 2040: Logan Airport  - Boston South Station - Boston Copley Plaza - Fall River, MA - Portsmouth, RI - Middletown - Newport, RI (Gateway Center). Timings: Buses leave the airport daily at 0915, 1315, 1515, 1630 (not weekends or holidays. Terminates at Fall River), 1730 (not weekends or holidays) & 1930. Buses leave Newport daily at 0600 (not weekends or holidays), 0800, 1230, 1400 & 1900.
Concord Coachlines to New Hampshire & Maine: New Hampshire Route: Airport (all terminals) - Boston South Station - Manchester, NH (Transportation Center) - Concord, NH (Transportation Center). Timings: Buses leave the airport Mon-Fri at 0715, 0825, 0925, 1125, 1235, then every hour until 1935 & 2135. Weekends & Holidays at 0715, 0925, 1125, 1335, then every hour until 1935 & 2135. Less frequent buses also call at Gorham, Pinkham Notch, Jackson, North Conway, Conway, West Ossipee, Moultonborough, Center Harbor, Meredith & New Hampton. These buses leave the airport at 0925 & 1635. Contact: 1 800 639 3317.
Maine Route: Airport (all terminals) - Boston South Station - Portland, ME (transportation center) - Bangor, ME (Transportation Center) - Orono University of Maine. Timings: Buses leave the airport 0555-23125 every hour or 2. Less frequent buses also call at Bar Harbor ME, Belfast ME, Ellsworth ME, Machias ME, Perry ME, Calais ME, Rockland ME & Wiscasset ME. C & J Trailways to Portsmouth, NH: Route: Operates buses to N New England including Newburyport MA (Transportation Center) & Portsmouth NH. Timings: Buses leave Logan Airport daily at 0450, 0550, 0650 (not weekends or holidays) then hourly until 0050. Departs the Pease Tradeport Transportation Center (for Portsmouth) daily at 0300, then every hour until 2300. Buses leave Newburyport, MA 30 mins later. Travel Time: To Portsmouth ~1:25. Boston Express Bus to Nashua, NH: Route: Airport (all terminals) - Boston South Station - Nashua, NH (Welcome Center) - Nashua Park & Ride. Timings: Buses leave Logan Airport daily at 0810, 0940, 1110, 1240, 1410, 1340, 1625 (Mon-Fri only), 1710, 1840 & 2040. Buses leave Nashua Park & Ride daily at 0430 (not Sundays), 0545, 0630 (Mon-Fri only), 0715, 0845, 1015, 1145, 1315, 1445, 1615 & 1815. Buses leave Nashua Welcome Centre 15 mins later. Travel Time: To Nashua ~1 hour 40. Cost: Adult one-way $14, round trip $25. Contact: 1 800 639 8080 or (603) 521 6000.
Vermont Transit Bus Lines to Vermont & Montreal: Operates buses to Maine, NH, VT, & Montreal, Canada. Route: Boston Logan Airport - Boston South Station - Manchester Airport, NH - Hanover, NH - White River Junction, VT - Montpelier, VT - Burlington, VT - Montreal, Quebec. Timings: Buses leave Boston Logan Airport daily at 1350 & 1735. Extra services operate from Boston South Station. Travel Time: To Boston Station 55 mins, Manchester Airport 2 hrs, Hanover ~3:20, White River Jct ~3:30, Burlington 5:50 & Montreal 8:35. Contact: 1 800 552 8737.
Dartmouth Coach to New Hampshire Route: Logan Airport - Boston South Station (45 mins) - New London (NH Park & Ride), NH (2:30) - Lebanon (Dartmouth Regional Transportation Center), NH (3 hrs) - Hanover (Hanover Inn/Hopkins Center), NH (3:15). Timings: Buses leave the airport daily at 0855 (not Sundays), then every 2 hours until 2055. Buses leave Hanover at 0500 (not Sundays), 0700, then every 2 hrs until 1700. Mermaid Transportation to Portland, ME: Run a door to door bus service to Portland, ME. Timings: Buses leave the airport daily at 0930, 1230, 1430, 1630, 1830 & 2030. By Water:
There is an airport dock near the Harborside Hyatt Hotel, not far from the airport. Free Shuttle bus #66 runs to the dock every 10 mins from all terminals. There is a phone at the dockside and at other stops to summon a taxi if there is not one waiting.
Harbor Express to Hull & Quincy: Hull Service: Mon-Fri only: Depart Logan Airport dock 0642, 1140, 1315, 1700, 1735 & 1835. Arrives at Hull 35-40 mins later. Ferries depart Hull at 0605, 0725, 1220, 1400 (change of boat at Quincy), 1740, 1815 & 1915. Cost: $12 one way. Seniors $10. Children 0-11 Free. Discounts for airport workers. Quincy Service: Mon-Fri: Depart Logan Airport dock 0622, 0642, 0755, 0830, 0915, 0935, 1020, 1055, 1140, 1315, 1455, 1540, 1615, 1700, 1735, 1835, 1925, 2025, 2100, 2145, 2220 & 2305 (Friday Only). Arrive Quincy 25-35 mins later. Depart Quincy: 0545, 0615, 0710, 0745, 0830, 0905, 0950, 1025, 1110, 1240, 1305, 1425, 1510, 1545, 1630, 1705, 1800, 1835, 1935, 2010, 2055, 2130 & 2220 (Friday only). Harbor Express to Hull: Runs Mon-Fri. Leaves Hull at 0605, 0725, 1310, 1740, 1830 &1910. Arrives at the airport dock 10-15 mins later. Leaves the airport 0642, 1140, 1230, 1700, 1750 & 1830. Arrives at Hull 15-25 mins later. Contact: For info call (617) 222 6999.
City Water Taxi: Runs from the airport dock to many destinations in Boston including the Aquarium. Mon-Sat 0700-2200. Sun 0700-2000. Cost: $10 one way. Round trip $17. Children 12 and under free. Contact: Tel +1 (617) 422 0392.
Boston Harbor Water Taxi: Runs to Boston. Contact: Tel (617) 593 9168.
Rowes Wharf Water Taxi: On-call service from the airport dock to Rowes Wharf/Boston Harbor Hotel, World Trade Center & Moakley Federal Courthouse. Timings: On demand June-September daily 0700-1900. May & October weekdays only 0700-1900. Cost: $10 one way, $17 round trip. Contact: Call (617) 406 8584.

By Train:
Subway Train: Free shuttle bus runs from all terminals to the Subway Station (5-10 mins) then Subway (Blue Line) to points all over city. Subway map. Cost: Single ride $2. day Link Pass $9. Week Link Pass $15. The subway is slowly being converted to a farecard system, but tokens are still in use. Machines selling farecards are available in the arrivals areas of each terminal. The Subway runs 0530-0100 every 8-12 mins. Contact: Tel 617 222 3200. Note: Be warned that many stations do not have elevators or escalators, and travelling with heavy bags can be troublesome.
Amtrak: The overland rail system operates from Boston South Station which can be reached by the Silver Line bus SL1 or by Subway. From here, connections to all over the US are possible.

Rental Cars:

There are free phones in the baggage claim area of each terminal. Shuttle vans pick up outside the lower level of each terminal and take passengers to their cars.

Car Parking: Short Term: Available across from the terminals. Cost: 30 mins $3, 1 hour $6, 90 mins $9, 2 hrs $12, 3 hrs $15, 4 hrs $18, 7 hrs $22, 24 hrs $24, 30 hrs $36, 2 days $48. Each extra day $24.  Notes: ATMs/Cash machines available in all terminals. Hotel booking boards available in the arrivals areas of all terminals. Baggage carts are free in Terminal E. Bureau de Change/Currency exchange in Terminal E.  Airport Hotels: Embassy Suites, Four Points By Sheraton, Hampton Inn Logan Airport, Hilton Hotel & Hyatt Hotel are all very close to the terminals.
