By Bus:
Jet'Bus Navette Aéroport to the city centre: Route: Airport (exit 7) - Barrière Judaïque (Avenue de la République) - Gambetta Place - Tourist information/Allées d'Orléans - Richelieu Pier - Railway Station St Jean.
Timings: Buses leave the airport every 45 mins 0745-2245: 0745, 0830, 0915, 1000, 1045, 1130, 1215, 1300, 1345, 1430, 1515, 1600, 1645, 1730, 1815, 1900, 1945, 2030, 2115, 2200 & 2245. They leave the Gare St Jean Railway Station for the airport every 45 mins 0645-2145: 0645, 0730, 0815, 0900, 0945, 1030, 1115, 1200, 1245, 1330, 1415, 1500, 1545, 1630, 1715, 1800, 1845, 1930, 2015, 2100 & 2145.
Cost: €6.50/30-45 mins. Return ticket €11. Reduced rates are available for: Young people under 26; Senior citizens (60+); Familles of 3 or more & Groups of 5 or more.

Bus #49 to Merignac: Take Bus #49 from under the vehicle ramp to the left of the terminal building to Lycee Merignac. It takes 15 mins, and buses run every 20 mins on weekdays and every 45 mins at weekends. On arrival at the Lycee, cross the tracks to catch the tram (direction Lormont or Floirac) to Bordeaux city centre (it seems to be going back the way you came but not for long). Trams take 25 mins, and run every 10 mins or more frequently. Cost is €1.30, payable to bus driver (they give change). Tickets are valid for one hour and the same ticket is used on the tram and the bus.
