Airport Overview:
The airport consists of one giant terminal, in
the centre of which is the Schiphol Plaza, This is a large public area with
shops, restaurants and all the public transport. rains are in the basement
whilst buses depart from outside. The size of the terminal means that often very
long walks are involved getting to and from aircraft.
Driving Directions:
The Airport lies on the E19/A4 motorway linking Amsterdam, The Hague and Rotterdam.

~35-40/15-25 mins to Amsterdam city centre. Most taxis use meters.

Time: Takes 15-20 mins.
Tickets can
be bought from the machines in the arrivals hall or on the ground floor
of the Plaza, but NOT on the platforms. The code for
the city centre on these machines is 1000. Cost: 3.80 one way/6.40 return. |

Leiden, Rotterdam, Roosendaal & Vlissingen: |
Frequent
services at 0400, 0500, then frequently until late. Trains stop at
Hoofddorp, Nieuw Vennep, Leiden Centraal (15 mins), De Vink, Voorschoten, Den Haag
Mariahoeve, Den Haag Laan van NOI, Den Haag HS, Den Haag Moerwijk,
Rijswijk, Delft, Delft Zuid, Schiedam Centrum, Rotterdam Centraal (45
mins),
Rotterdam Blaak, Dordrecht (1 hour), Roosendaal (1 hr 25), Bergen op Zoom,
Kruiningen-Yerkseke, Goes, Middelburg, Vissingen Souburg & Vissingen.
However not all trains call at all stations.

To Den Haag (The Hague): |
Frequent
services at 0400, 0500, then frequently until late. Trains stop at

services from 0557, then frequently until late. Trains stop at Amsterdam
Zuid, Amsterdam RAI, Duivendrecht, Diemen Zuid, Weesp, Almere &
Lelystad Centrum. However not all trains call at all stations. |

Utrecht: |
Frequent services from
0614-2344 and every hour through the night
0100-0503.
Trains stop at Amsterdam Zuid and Amsterdam Bijlmer, and then continue
to
s-Hertogenbosch and
Eindhoven. |

To Groningen & Enschede: |
Half-hourly
service from
0551-2321. Trains stop at Amsterdam Zuid, Duivendrecht, Hilversum and
Amersfoort; for Groningen, they continue to Zwolle, Assen, Groningen;
for Enschede, to Apeldoorn, Deventer, Almelo, Hengelo and Enschede. |

To RAI
Congress Centre: |
There is a direct link between Schipol and
Amsterdams RAI Congress Centre, with trains running every 10-15 mins
0525-0010. |

Thalys Train: |
The reservation-only, high-speed Thalys
train tel 0900 9292 serves Amsterdam, The Hague, Rotterdam, Antwerp,
Brussels and Paris and has facilities for disabled travellers. |
|
International Trains: |
Regular
International trains run to Antwerp (1 hr 50), Brussels Nord, Central & South
(32.60/2 hours 45) & Paris via The Hague HS (not The Hague
Centraal) & Rotterdam. |

Short Term:
Car Parks P1 & P2: Within walking distance of the terminal. 1.90 per 30 mins
for the first 3 hrs. Then 2,70 for each extra hour. Daily max 26 for the first
3 days. Thereafter 15. Long
Term: Car Park P3: A bus runs to this car park from bus stop A5. First 3
days 50, then 5.50 per day. Valet Parking: 35 for the first 3 days, 19.50
per day for days 4-7 and 15 thereafter.
Baggage
Storage: Lockers are available airside, and a baggage storage
facility is available in the Plaza 0615-2215. Costs from 5-9 per 24 hrs.
Notes: ATMs/Cash Machines available throughout the airport. There
is a hotel booking board with phones in the Plaza.
