Abu Dhabi Intl (AUH): Location: 38 km/21 Miles SE of the City. Airport Overview: 3 terminals: Terminal 1, terminal 1A (for passengers departing only on Gulf Traveller Flights), & Terminal 2. Driving Directions: 3 highways lead from the city centre to the airport: Khaleej Al Arabi (no 30), Sheikh Rashid Al Maktoum Street (no 2) & Salam Street (no 8). These all merge into one main highway which leads directly to Abu Dhabi Intl Airport. By Taxi: To Abu Dhabi city centre ~AED 70/30-35 mins. To Dubai 70-90 mins. ◊Al Ghazal Taxis runs a system of fixed-rate taxis to the city. By Bus: The municipal bus service Route 901 runs 24 hours a day every 30 mins 0600-2400 and every 45 mins 0000-0600. Buses are green and white, air-conditioned and depart from outside arrivals. Cost AED 5 transfer time 40 mins. By Shuttle Van: cityhoppa.com runs shuttle vans and private cars from this airport to Abu Dhabi & Dubai city centers. Click here to book.

Car Parking: Both long and short term parking is available close to the terminal. Notes: ATMs/Cash machines in the terminal. Baggage Storage: Left luggage facilities are available in the arrivals baggage hall, 24hrs. City Terminal: The City Terminal is in the heart of Abu Dhabi 's business district, and is a check-in facilty for passengers. Passengers can check in at the City Terminal, complete security formalities, check in their baggage and collect their boarding passes before making their own way to the airport, or using one of the City Terminal's coaches. This shuttle service departs every hour. The terminal also has an ATM & shower facilities. Check in can be up to 8 hrs prior to departure (minimum 3 hrs). There are currently 9 airlines with agreements to provide free use of the City Terminal for their First and Business Class passengers. These are: Air France, Air India, Swiss, Gulf Air, Egypt Air, Qatar Airways, Sudan Airways, Lufthansa, Royal Jordanian Airlines, China Airlines & British Airways. However, any other passenger may use the Terminal through the auspices of Golden Class, paying just Dhs 70 for access. Airport Tax: Intl departure tax of AED 30 is reported to be payable at the airport. Airport Hotels: Abu Dhabi International Airport Hotel Tel +971 (0)2 575 7377 is at the airport.
